Looks like Jeepers is still at it with the Zephyr, must be a good number of years into the build now, I think he deleted the build thread he had going on here.

A five week cycle of monotonous advertising and political slogans, the colossal amount of money wasted that could be better used to provide services where needed. I reckon this one will get personal with them both playing the man.
Time to zone out.

Political minions must be cruising the forums for regular posters who, they think, will pass on their messages.
Don't get sucked in, fellas.

Bird it sticks in my throat how he can come on tv and tell me to pray for my country and the poor people going to bed hungry. He left people hanging in Townsville and surrounding towns when the ship hit the span and distanced himself from the blame. Now I am not particularly religious but I am happy to include him in my prayers but he mightn't like the outcome if they are answered.

A 18V Makita 115 Grinder is a pretty handy bit of kit.
NSW NPWS already have heavy fines for carrying one of these.
And God help you if you are caught with a 18V Chainsaw.

Oops!
https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/other/moment-building-collapses-in-bangkok-earthquake/vi-AA1BTFMk
It was the only one that collapsed in Bangkok being built by Chinese developers and it's what the Chinese population derisively call a 'tofu' building  :o
There's no Great Evil conspiracy against consumers within engineering, manufacturing and supply. Just the many tradeoffs incurred to satisfy diverse tastes, priorities and wallets. But first comes all the insatiable Gummint eggsperts, nanny-staters and usual suspects.

Reading a news article about Vanuatu still trying to recover from earthquake & cyclone damage.

Chinese (as a gesture of "goodwill" ::)) have been building a new Presidential Palace for the last couple of years & it's almost finished ...

Until it partially collapsed during the earthquake! :o

Reports are saying that the "reinforced concrete" walls, which have cracked & shattered, basically have wire inside them, rather than reo steel :-\

The continued closure of some of the country’s most iconic natural environments for Indigenous cultural heritage reasons has been branded Australia’s “shame” by radio host Ben Fordham.

Over the weekend, the 2GB presenter rattled off more than half a dozen iconic landmarks that were now “no go zones” after banning or restricting access in recent years.
