GUs are agricultural but I don't mind that. My td42t trol doesn't do much these days. A holiday car and workhorse only.
Any trol is thirsty.

Good luck with whatever it is you decide.

Have an old mate from the start of my cycling days that I asked me if I could help him with training. I told him at the start that I will get him moving quicker but if he didn't do as I asked, that I'd wipe him like a dirty arse, mate or no mate. He said yet, I understand.

Well this week the Masters Nationals were on in Brisbane and he got three medals and that right there, is what put a smile on my face.

Smiles? you bet  ;D

Just arrived home from a 6 day relaxing camping trip at Levuka.

Cold beers, warm camp fires and really good people to share it with.  :cup:

Cheers to all who attended.  8)

That was us....

Heading home from Hopetoun via Shepparton....off the GV Hwy, onto the Hume at Seymour, and stopped dead.
Couldn't see a reason for it, but it mostly sorted itself.
Wasn't as bad as it could have been, but still added about an hour to the run from Shepp.

Yep took the long way around to get into town a lot quicker then the highway.   Made the mistake today and three green lights to travel 100 meters.  Very poor town planning regarding driving through or around town.  Happens when the Highway is the spine you build everything off with no interconnecting roads between.
Cheers

One for Sydney Plane buffs... awesome that these old birds are still flying and maintained...  :cup: :cup:

The flypast is being stated by the Historic Aircraft Restoration Society (HARS) and will feature Tracker, Dakota, Caribou and Catalina.

It will be the largest ANZAC overflight ever staged from the HARS Aviation Museum which is based at Shellhabour Regional Airport.

Taking off from 9.30 am the Dakota, Caribou and Tracker will fly north along the coast to overfly Cronulla beach shortly before 10 am on ANZAC Day.

The aircraft will continue their line astern formation to fly over Goldstein Reserve at Coogee at 10 am at the conclusion of the ANZAC march by Coogee, Randwick and Clovelly RSL members. Sydney City

...
A separate flypast of Orion, Mustang, Harvard and Iroquois will fly over Wollongong, Kiama and Kangaroo Valley.

Other warbirds of note in the HARS display include a former RAAF supersonic F-111C, three 1960s Neptune maritime patrol aircraft, a Catalina, a Winjeel, additional Dakotas, a former RAN Wessex helicopter, Vampire and Sea Venom jets plus airliners including "Connie" the former Lockheed Super Constellation and the only Boing 747-400 remaining in Australia.

That would be way cool to see. I remember as a a kid watching some Caribou taking off from a park somewhere near Gladstone once. They just seemed to walk along and then pop up into the air.

Blokes  up and down both sides of the aircraft were puking into their bush hats ...  The load master was pissed off and  wanted to throw Spike out over the ramp . ;D ;D .

Hi,
Laverton air show 1964, I was 18 at the time.
Never got to fly in one though.
I have flown in an RAF Twin Pioneer, an aircraft with similar capabilities of using very short strips. I was photographing evidence of the accuracy of jungle supply drops because the troops were not happy with them. Great fun, sitting in the doorway, legs in the air on the end of a monkey strap trying to wrangle a Linhof 5x4 in the slipstream.
Cheers

Hi,
Yep. The double sided film holder dark slides kept trying to escape in the wind. Really, for the purpose of the exercise, my own 35mm camera would have been so much more efficient .
