Waterproof gear bag
« on: May 21, 2021, 01:34:28 AM »
I'm looking for a weatherproof gear bag. Just need to put in the keys/wallets/phones and protect them if they fall into water. Any ideas?

Was thinking something like this:

We had used those ziplock style bags in the past, but now prefer these roll up ones.

I’ve had one of these for about 3 or 4 years now and it’s had heaps of trips in the boat/beach/general rainy days out, still no leaks.
We usually throw one of those quick dry towels in there with the phones, keys, Bluetooth speaker, etc.

What size, nab ???

I've got a few phone size cases in the pile to go to Vinnies, as they're too small for our current phones :-[, but would be fine for keys or a wallet.

Phone would depend on it's size ???

We also use the roll top bags as well, Aldi sell them in a three pack occaisionally.
Another option could be a decent waterporoof plastic container from the supermarket, like Sistema?

I got one of these from a local tackle shop on the South Coast. Has a belt clip which is handy mine is about one litre.

Thanks heaps for the ideas. I like the dry bags but they are not submersible, most likely not an issue though. I'll grab one anyway as it will no doubt come in handy.

Fizzie, I'm after a pouch/bag to put 2x phones/keys/wallets while so those pouches are a bit small for me. Thanks anyway!

Pete, didn't know Anaconda sell them so will head there and grab one.

Thanks again all, got me sorted with exactly what I need.
