They also do a full height (no pop-top) version of the EXP-6 now which greatly increases the internal storage space.

Guy up the road from me went from the Conqueror 490 to the full sized Bruder. Tow vehicle, Prado 150 with all the bells and whistles.
First trip, blows something in the engine, realises its WAY too heavy for the Prado, upgrades car.

Plans Around Oz Trip, the missus goes to pack and realises the storage capacity is significantly reduced from what they previously had.

So increased storage would deffo be a good thing I would imagine
Cheers

In my ill informed opinion I believe that was a major part of the KK downfall (amongst other obvious things).
The Australian consumer was propping up heavily discounted Karavans going to the US market. Was never going to last.
They yanks where getting their vans delivered across the pacific for half the price you could buy one locally in Aus.

When I was looking at the EXP-6 I was told (by Bruder) that less than 40% of production was local sales. Most were sold in Europe, UAE, and a few to USA. Production at that time was 1 per week, with an 8 month waiting list.

That was the number 1 reason we bought the Exodus instead.

I dont know why anyone would wait that long for a camper. plenty of options out there, plenty on the used market too.

there's plenty of vans on the market also, but nothing we liked in our price range (what I actually wanted started at $145K new and 5 year old similar was still over $100K)...find what we wanted exactly and we'd wait 8 months for it, like many others do.

XP4 price is just under 60k for a standard version with plenty of options to spend another 10k + on. Powerball win indeed!

Wonder if they would just sell a chassis and then I could put my own body/shell on it?

Cheers

probably for 3 times the cost it would be to make it yourself or have it made at a steel fabricator.
