Hi Mark ,

I gave up with Hema after they would not fix my unit on warranty .

I now use a Samsung tablet and a Ram mount similar to what I have posted . I still run with Hema maps and I just pay a yearly fee for doing this . The added advantage of using a tablet/Ipad is that you can use other mapping services as well .

Thanks Duggie...

I am keen to go this way, but I am just trying to find a way to bring my reversing camera into it as well......I cant find any units that will take a direct 3.5mm video input, and I am also having trouble finding ways to have a converter from 3.5mm to something a tablet will take.....and bluetooth etc are all useless as you want it coming on whenever you put it in reverse and not having to go through a connection process first everytime you put it into reverse....

I'm finding this one very hard to solve at the moment..... ;D ;D

For every situation you have 3 choices. Live with it, change it, or leave it. But only pick one

You could have a look at something like this (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Wireless-WiFi-Car-Rear-View-Reversing-Camera-Rearview-Cam-For-Android-Phone-New/122880941541?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D52547%26meid%3D4b779a1fa32348f8b9744ade8899d98a%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D281242704407%26itm%3D122880941541&_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850) as a camera that could be used on a tablet.

No experience of it.

I have a different wireless reverse camera hooked up on my camper trailer, sending to android head unit in the car. The picture is ok, but gets interference pretty readily. I have it set up to be switchable on the head unit so I can see behind me on the road. Works well for that purpose and for reversing the trailer (to check clearance only).
