www.spacex.com/
Live stream -> https://youtu.be/aBr2kKAHN6M

His car with the manikin in it, thats going to be sent to orbit mars apparently with cameras streaming back to earth on it.

https://www.theverge.com/tldr/2018/2/6/16981144/spacex-tesla-falcon-heavy-roadster-live-stream

Wonder what the future will hold now for space travel, maybe they could finally land a man on the moon ???

EDIT

"A private company just outperformed every government on earth," Greg Autry, a professor at the University of Southern California and a former NASA White House liaison said. "This is bigger than anything Russia or China is doing. No one else is even close."

Falcon Heavy is designed to place up to 70 tonnes into standard low-Earth orbit at a cost of $US90 million per launch. That is twice the lift capacity of the biggest existing rocket in America's space fleet - the Delta 4 Heavy of rival United Launch Alliance (ULA), a partnership of Lockheed Martin Corp and Boeing Co - for about a quarter of the cost.

It was great to watch. First time my kids have been interested in space. They were enthralled and couldn't look away. I loved the Don't Panic reference. Its definitely going to open up a new era.

I like that he pushes things forward.  Sure he wants to make a quid but who doesn't.  It better than investing in banks, petrol stocks or armaments.

He certainly has a lot going on, whether the reality lives up to the hype only time will tell I guess.

The difference between niche and mass market. It’s a lot harder to deliver large numbers.

Apparently the aim was off and the Tesla will now end up in the hemorrhoid belt. (Sorry - Asteroid)

A reusable system that once perfected will deliver payload at about 1/4 of the NASA price

We will look back and realise that he has done for space rockets what Henry Ford did for the car
