Just used a green bomber. The fish bent 6 hooks on the lureb as it fought hard.

A package arrived at the clinic here today addressed to "Mark McGirr PMB 186 Winnellie" we are PMB 185 so Australia post stuffed it up again. I took it back to the post office to forward it on.

I have been speaking to Alex the owner of Boating West regarding boat hire in Broome and Cape Leveque.

The season and bookings will commence in a couple of weeks and I am looking at hiring a big centre console boat that can take up to 6 people on the Sunday we will be in Broome. (we arrive in Broome on the Friday 15th June and leave on Tuesday 19th June)

Also Alex has a 4.2 mtre tinnie at Cygnet Bay for hire which is only $195 a day. As we will be camping at Gumbanan, which is only 15 mins away, we may look at hiring it for a few days to explore the area and catch some fish.

I have a boat licence so no issues there.

14 days to go 😁😁

If fishing from a boat you need a licence, see page 41 of the above link.

All organised.  ;D
Fishing licence was obtained months ago as well as a cast net licence. If only one person has a fishing licence then only one bag limit applies. More than happy to catch , take photos and release.

I have even organised the tides and weather  ;D ;D

I scored some nice Trout, Blue Lined ( Tricky) and Spanish when there in '05. In fact, the Spanish were a bit of a pest when trying for the demersal species.  :-\

Also, got a nice cod (catch and release) in Hunter Ck area. Vehiclee access allowed then.

Good hunting.
