G'day from WA
« on: April 22, 2017, 10:09:40 AM »
Hi everyone

I'm a new member here and thought I'd introduce myself to the community.

My name is Russell, but I get called me rusty, and my kids call me rusty gates.

We've just bought our first camper trailer, a 2011 Outback model. We'd booked a hire trailer from a local place, for our trip to Mount Augustus and the Kennedy Ranges in July, but started looking around at prices, etc, and noticed the hire place had a trailer for sale.
Long story short, we bought it!!

We live just south of Mandurah and have always enjoyed the outdoors, and with 2 grown up kids, the camper trailer will get a fair bit of use.

I'm a full time wedding and family portrait photographer, so my weekends can be busy, but not every weekend.

I have a drone, too, so I'll be documenting our trip up north, as well as other trips we do....even if we only get away for a night or two.

I'm keen to learn more about solar panels and becoming self sufficient while camping, and I look forward to sharing info with others here.

regards
rusty

Hi and welcome Rusty Gates.  We have a trip planned for Mt Augustus and surrounds later in the year, probably late August early September so look forward to your trip report and pics.

Cheers
