Tall poppy syndrome.

Nah, Whingecup is a knob. Look at Lowndes when he was #1, everybody loved him, no tall poppy syndrome there.

McLaughlin actually enters marginally in front of both of them, literally his whole car in front of Tander, his head would have to be on backwards to not see him. Wincups crime and punishment were done with, the other two had their own altercation.

I didn't say he wouldn't have been able to see him once he re entered the track. I said he wouldn't have seen him coming. At the time he would have been concentrating on the rear of Whincup's car, which he was wearing as a bonnet emblem because Whincup had been on the brakes.

Tander was only about half a car width (and holding that line) from the left edge of the track when McLaughlin moved sideways into him. How anyone can conclude that Tander was in any way at fault beggars belief.

Tander was an innocent party..  Scotty drove into him, and admitted it.

If 888 win the appeal, Whincup wins Bathurst. If the penalty somehow gets downgraded from 15 to 10 seconds, he finishes somewhere in the top ten..

I think the appeal is over the severity of the penalty and if won they will admin the 10 second one. CAMS will have to decide if the 15s was the equivalent of a pit-lane penalty as Whincup did not redress the issue due to the Volvo crashing.
The redress rule had 2 options, redress or 10 second stop go like Kelly copped when his radio was broken for taking out Pither. If they had the Kahunas to enforce the drive thru this would have been all over. Red Bull would not have had the appeal option.

The appeal is over a supposed wrong penalty. The penalty for not redressing for that offence is supposed to be a 10 POINT penalty, not a 10 or 15 SECOND penalty.

Sounds like Rolands blood has cooled a little.  As Gronk said, have it reduced to 10 seconds to gain a few spots and points.

Regardless of all the opinions if Jamie had'nt of knocked Scotty off the track in the first place, then this incident would'nt have happened and we would'nt be having
this debate.

I'm a racer and competitor (not motor racing) and am a firm believer in giving no quarters.  ;) Even though I'm getting back into competitive racing (after 34yrs out) I still race hard and fair = give no quarter and expect none. These blokes and sheilas' are so called professionals and should know their limits!  ???

What I'm seeing from Whincup, is someone that is going overboard, when it comes to Bathurst. Three out of the last 4yrs, he has forked up and that is not someone working at their best.  ;)

I think triple 8....and red bull....are in damage control.

In my opinion..whincup for the last three years at Bathurst...has shown what he's really after....an attempt to create his own Bathurst legend and surpass the legend of Brock....nothing more.
But he needs to realise that for him...this is impossible.

Just my opinion.

He is making his own legend, stealing defeat from the jaws of victory 3 times in a row...
