Not sure I like the wheels but the Harris frame would make it handle better than they did Back in The day

Picked up an old banger ‘85 Suzuki GS1100G to restore and add to the harem. I bought one of these new back in ‘84 and always regretted selling it. Not looking to make look concourse, just used but not abused.

Remember reading about it  many years ago. Sad that it wasn't put into production.

Hey Snow, I bought one new in '84 too from City Suzuki in Goulburn St in Sydney. Had to sell it when kids came along in '92. Was a sweet tourer but never really had any soul I thought. Took me from Brissie down to the 1st GP at Phillip Island. Did a lot of K's on that old beast.
It replaced my GS750 which was my pocket rocket in the day. Yoshi 860 kit, O'brien custom pipes, S&W suspension etc.

The Britten makes every body smile. John was a man ahead of his time a visionary and amazing  engineer.

You will see why it makes Andrew Stroud smile in this clip.

Ordered and put a deposit on my new dirt squirter this afternoon. 2021 Kawasaki KLX300r. Not the most powerful, fastest, lightest, gnarliest bike but it ticks all the boxes for me.

2015 Mitsi Pajero. Dobbo MRR Lift, ARB Bar, MM4X4 Lock Up Mate, Intervolt DC Pro DBS, 12,000lb Mako winch. Bla Bla Bla.

96 80 Series. Lots of mods, not enough wheeling. - Gone but not forgotten.

Picked up my KLX300R a couple of weeks ago. Immediately put Renthal bars, BarkBussters and grips and a hour meter on it. Waiting on a bash plate and radiator guards. Only put 3/4 hour on it. So far so good.

Going with SRC rad. guards and bash plate. They are a full guard/brace and have a mount for an electric cooling fan. Bit dearer than a normal guard but way more protection. Also options for the Klx are a bit hard to come by. Plenty of bash plate options, just not a lot to pick from for rad guards.
Cheers, Mike.
