There's a nice spot to camp by a lagoon behind St Vidgions (sp?) ruins as you head to Lorella,  and make sure you stop in and have a look at Butterfly Springs. The spring itself was nothing special, but on the rock wall to the right of it was thousands of butterflies when we stopped there a few years ago.

ARRRRRRR CRAP.crap crap crap.

Just doing the shopping list and the wife turns around (literally) and goes, " I'm still thinking I'd prefer the Kimberly". WTF.  How about we just concentrate on the WEST end do the Munja trk and leave the EAST end ( Elquestro / Home vally etc end till next year. Think that just might work. Half the time only half the Gibb.

So back to the drawing board.
New plan.

Straight to Broome. Not hard i do it every week anyway.
Then straight up gibb river rd to Mumja track. 5 days on that. Then from there just concentrate on the WEST side. Wife said elquestro and the likes can be done next time. As its only a days drive away.

I just love having my head played with.  NOT

Oh and now to make things even more interesting the Munja trk is still closed. I feel like I'm on a bloody merry go round.

Just a update.

The Kimberly we decided on.
Now unfortunately the Gibb river is closed,  it decided to rain. Been a shocker of a wet........ until now while i want my holidays. Lucky i have beer.
So we are now sitting in Broome waiting it out. Thinking might head up cape Leveque rd. Yes we are towing a large caravan.
Any ideaa for say about a 3 day stay.

Joe

Mary Pool, Telegraph Pool, Caroline Pool, Palm Springs/Sawpit Gorge  are a couple of options.

Cheers Glen

It's better camping and away from home than most of us, being at work.  :'(
So stop complaining.
