Heads up central oz and Simpson campers - weather inbound

Looks like from Thursday you'll be getting some substantial falls. Higgins has it at 20mm +

I'd be making alternative travel plans to not get caught.

Still looking good for some solid rain Saturday/sunday up there. Should make the desert green up. I've just cancelled my cameron corner s.a. trip for june due to work commitments so won't get out there this year. Have a great trip.

Started raining here in Alice early hours this morning and has been off and on all day, meant to get really heavy rain tonight / tomorrow, we are only getting the edge of the rain as SE of here ( Old Andado Station way) has been getting heavier falls all day

Got a message from Xcvator this arvo, he's at Erldunda in the rain and mentioned roads are being closed.

Enough rain through the centre to close the unsealed roads. Not that much in Alice, gentle drizzle, I was trying to garden this afternoon and it hadn't penetrated much.

A lot of rain in the Kimberley. We have had close to 100mm at Mt Barnett Roadhouse with stranded people camping at the back of the roadhouse.
