I still cant believe the price of awnings... I would have thought they'd be down to $200 by now.

I know I paid $200 for mine from place next to Mansfield BP - and they said 'drive round the back and we will fit it for you'...

cant ask for more than that!

PWE,
Check out Cruiser Customs at Brendale. Karl made my cargo draws which are excellent. I know he does make an awning which fits your description. No affiliation just had a great experience with him. Facebook page has some good photos.

Cheers
Tony

yep his gear is quality, but for memory his awnings with no poles are up near $2500.

I have a foxwing, yes it has poles but it is stable. Even the ones with no poles recommend poles in high winds, so if you are at the beach i would recommend poles anyway which kind of defeats the purpose as most people use the awnings at the beach.

I got my foxwing recently from these guys, $670 brand new cant complain!!

I enquired about an Ostrich Wing awning around the start of the year and was told that the importer had become very strict with the sale of the awnings. Only warranting the awning if it was installed to her strict standards. Apparently there had been a few come back for warranty work where they'd been damaged as a result of incorrect installation. Price was $1600 plus fitting.

I spoke with Alucab at the same time about their Shadow Awn. They had a show special of about $1250, plus a hundred and something for delivery to Brisbane, plus a hundred and something for their special bracket to fit my roof rack. I enquired about it again a few weeks ago but was told they couldn't do that price any longer, and the new price was $1450 (i think). I was advised i could get one from the Nambour Show and save on delivery.

You can get LHS Foxwings, they are much cheaper than RHS as nobody wants them - or did 2 yrs ago

Southern Cross do a std awning too, didn't know that.

Hiya bird. I have a LH fox wing and have had it about 4 years. Yes it was cheaper. Why are they cheaper? At the time was a PITA as my RTT was set up to open to the left but now fine as the camper awning is to the left and it seems to make sense. Just curious.

Just fitted our RHS Drifta awning on the FJ.  Love the quality and ease of set up!!  Legs are built in so you just unclip them from each roof arm and lower them as you unfold it.

It appears their web site is no longer.

Have started to look at the Alu Cab one.
