Multy use recovery tracks ..
« on: November 18, 2015, 11:08:52 AM »
No afilliation with these guys, just found them surfing Youtube and thought they may be helpfull to some .. I like the multy use aspect of them .. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLe71YjrUkI

Wonder what the $$ of it would be for a sheet .http://www.locker.com.au/industrial-flooring/industrial-flooring.html
And a few bits of ally tube and connectors from bumblings would see you right for the stands etc ..

I was given some years ago to test.....

I still have a new set of 45mm.....I think that's how thick they are, the thinner stuff I re-gifted

They are quite heavy and the anti slip/rough edges nearly requires gloves.....

The only use mine have had is I used them as a ramp with the spare tyre to carry out a repair.

They have sat in the garage for the last six years.

MAXTRAX are lighter and easier on the hands

We use this for machine guarding, and pit/drainage grates (60mm thick) in the big shed for the FEL's/trucks at work.

Over the years I’ve seen people use anything they can get their hands on when bogged in the sand IE: Carpet, shade cloth, car mats, beer cartons and firewood they had packed away.

All has the potential to work and the people who did some light digging and prepared there chosen recovery item properly got out.

I thought it was in this forum once before, but found it on another forum I'm  a member of

Hope it's not against the rules to post a link to another forum.
