How does that work?
« on: August 28, 2015, 03:12:24 PM »
You're looking up phone prices on ebay and say you search for Lumia 830 and restrict it mobile phones and cheapest first and you get the list for sale-
http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/Mobile-Phones-/9355/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=lumia+830+phone&_sop=2
and then you note new prices vary from around $300 up to $1499 and wait for it- $5000. Now one of those $1499 listings shows 22 sold.
Am I missing something here or is there one born every minute?

A lot of ebay sellers will up the price if they have no stock. Then bring it back down when they have some to sell.
By the way I have a 830 for work, it seems to work pretty well. Just a few apps that I have on my private android I would like on the 830 but no big deal

Duh! Smacks forehead. Mind you if someone does hop on at those prices it wouldn't be too hard to buy someone elses and put the buyers address down for delivery. At 5k I might order them 2 with express post and tracking cos it's the kinda guy I am   :cup:

BIL with a 625 was interested in upgrading to the 830 with wireless charging as it's on the list for first Win10 upgrade as is my 735 although I haven't used the wireless charging on it. Any thoughts on that? Must admit I wasn't aware of the plusses with the 735, just couldn't resist the price of $149 when the Good Guys decided to clear them out ( I was peed I'd missed them at $179 at Officeworks clearo)
As for apps that's been a drawback for some with Windows phones but that may change by all accounts-

I have 2 windows phones...a 920 and a 520, and being a techno dumbass, the missus and I only use them for phone calls and web browsing, and apart from the 920's wireless charging, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a $100  532 !

But I must admit, like a lot of things, once you have wireless charging, you'll never want to go back to plugging things in again..

X 2. The only time I have to plug phone in is when we travel. No QI charger in ute/camper. Now waiting for 950XL to arrive.
