Yes, we used to have a ghost at our old Army Reserve depot. At this time (70's - 80's), the place was about 90 years old so a lot of people had come & gone in that time.
It had 3 steps leading up to the front door - 1 ground level, 1 mid, top step at floor level.
Everybody who walked in, bounced off the 2nd step & thumped onto the floor just inside the door (the inch thick + hardwood floor actually had a hole worn through it, so that had been going on for a long time
).
Fairly frequently, but only if you were in a spot that you couldn't see the front door!, you'd hear "thump" then 3 heavy footsteps, obviously wearing Army boots!
You'd call out - no answer, have a look - no-one there or in street outside.
There for happy hour one Friday & bloke had his mid-teen son with him, who was to say the least somewhat sceptical about these silly old farts & their stories. We were in the back mess & heard thump, 1, 2, 3 - had a glance through the serving hatch & asked Jason to go out & tell whoever that we were back here. He came back in a minute later with a scared look on his face to say that there was no-one there ...
There was only one time that I ever experienced bad vibes from him though. I was Mess Secretary at the time & decided to clean all the garbage out of the place - the half boxes of old tiles people had brought in because "the mess can use them", old magazines, plumbing fittings - you know the sort of thing. Anyway, dumped all this stuff, then dragged the fire hose in & gave the place a proper scrub down, cleaning out years of cocky poop, dead spiders & so on. Finished & went into the back mess to have a cold beer & do the reconciliation. Sitting on the couch against the back wall & all of a sudden, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up & I got the feeling that someone is standing behind me, looking over my shoulder & he's not happy. But I was sitting against the wall & because of the slope of the block, anyone looking in the window behind me would have to be 15' tall. So, I sat there in a totally empty room & building & said out loud "No, everything's all right. I'm just getting rid of dirt & rubbish, I'm not trying to get rid of you". Instantly, the bad vibe disappeared & the hairs on the neck went down again ...
Several years later, we moved to a new depot & he visited at least a few times. Couple of people said that they were in their offices when they heard the front door open - call out but no answer & when they go out to check, there's no-one there. Another time, we'd closed up after Friday night drinks, came back in the next morning & the chairs that were against the counter were all over on the other side of the room. I'd locked up last night & unlocked this morning so no-one was there to move things around.
The old depot was moved & is now being used by one of the military historical re-enactment groups. Chatting to one of the blokes only a couple of years ago & asked him if they were looking after the ghost & he said Yes, he still comes to visit - thump, 1, 2, 3
