Just wondering, what's is wrong with the Lebanese folk again?

I'm a Picnic Point boy, left when my Apprenticeship was done. I'll never live in Sydney again, but that is beside the point.

I am privileged to say that last December when i was in Sydney for a week, i complained to my mate that there is no good Lebanese food to be found on the Gold Coast.
He took me to a fine restaurant, 1 suburb to the east from banksown, forget the name, is was a bookings only place and you'll be lucky to get one. We walked in, 2 aussie guys, neat Jeans, Thongs and Tee Shirts, my mate asked for a table, they said we're full, but we'll make room for you.
All of the staff came and said hi, they were very friendly. The other patrons were dressed to impress, we were slobs by comparisons (Great Perve to).
The food was exquisit.
We impressed them by ordering enough for 5, without the menu in our hands, and then ate it all.

My point is, they are mostly regular folk like the rest of us, they have their dreams and goals, just like us, and they have a few bag eggs amoung them, humm, and we don't.
Matter of fact, why am I saying "us and them"?
That is the problem there.
It is all US.
I'm a mixed breed from various nationalities......

 ;D

Tell us where Dave. Middle eastern food is exquisite. What about baklava ?
Here for a good time, not a long time!

Thanks Dave looks great. I love an Arabic Meeza. The smell of ME food is amazing. When i was in Wagga during the sons March out we walked up the main drag and there was this scent wafting from a old mall and down the lane was a little leb restaurant.

Sorry OT

"Tidal wave of Lebanese Muslims"

52% of Australian Lebanese are Christian
40% of Lebanese are Muslim

There are 204,000 Australian Lebanese.
There are 23,130,000 Australians.

That results in .87% of the population.

This results in less than .4% being muslim.

Yep, its a tidal wave alright.  If you actually research this a bit more you will find that Lebanese Australians are imprisoned at a rate of 1.6 people per 1,000.  Thats the same as the imprisonment rate for New Zealand Australians.

.12% of Australians are currently imprisoned.  .16% of Lebanese Australians are currently imprisoned.  WOW - .04% HIGHER!

Now delving further into your post;

"the "benefits" of multiculturalism that are getting ready to tear this nation apart, violently"

Where exactly is the evidence for this?

What violence are you talking about?

The Lindt cafe seige?  A lone lunatic using Islam to justify his lunacy and thrown out of the muslim community due to his lunacy and violence.  He couldnt even get the ISIL flag correct.

The Cronulla riots?

Sydney lebanese violence?  That would be the drug feud going on where lebanese drug dealers are shooting other lebanese drug dealers.

Mmmmmmmm - I think your logic is flawed.  Unless of course you can explain your comments with facts?

:)

If 0.12% of Australians are imprisoned, and 0.16% of another group is imprisoned, the imprisonment rate of the other group is 133% higher than the Australian rate isn't it?

Fortunately the base rates are 0.something percent and not 10 percent or more.
