My location is 150M. above Sea Level and I can feel the house moving a fraction now and again with the wind.
Live on the slopes of Donna, and the wind is howling through the valley ATM. making lots'a noise as it roars across the chimney.
Nearly sucking the fire out of the Heater.

It was an interesting landing last night t Melbourne airport. Roughest roller coaster ride I have been on and the plane was delayed two hours to try and let the bad winds pass

Went outside this morning clear sky no breeze, thought maybe a frost, but looked ok. Tried to wash my windscreen, big mistake. Froze solid.

Son also just messaged me that it was snowing at Romsey and pics here of his building site at Daylesford upon arrival.

So what does that do to his building materials?

I know the snow isn't going to hurt the real timber much, but what would it do to gyprock, MDF, chipboard etc, not to mention any bags of cement / plaster that may be lying around - surely they'd all be shot, wouldn't they  ???

Here in Mexico we deal with inclement and radical weather all year. Builders usually won't take items that can be subject to water damage until the roof is on new building, and on existing building renno's, heavy duty tarps  are always included in quotes.

Having said that, those ladders look quite stiff

Bit cool out this morning, I made this observation working outside at 6:30  because the snot was freezing as it run out of my nose. Cant wear gloves so I am using my butane torch to get some feeling back into my fingers.  Get a bit sooky after spending the last few weeks working in Brisbane

Snotcicles, a true sign of it being cold. The other is when you go outside for a wizza and when you look down there is a pile of yellow ice cubes on the ground....

Club run up to Mt Skene could be interesting this weekend if this weather continues...

Found an obs. re Licola/Jamieson Rd. bird, 18.4mm to 0900 this morning, generally speaking not as much snow in a
lot of areas north of Sale as the forecasts suggested, ie Mt Wellington got quite moderate fall at 1630M.

You could ring the Licola Gen. Store, they would prob. advise re conditions. (51 488786)

Have a good one  ;D
