Asking for a friend  If I I mean they used a towing pin lock like below, and although I am sure I they left it in the car, but now can't find the keys (4yr old being the prime suspect) what would be the best way to remove it?

Might be able to order replacement keys.
Or get a lock smith to pop it.

Or bring out your friendly 9", 5" or 4" grinder and sort it properly.

Drill out and replace unit. If  you they can't find the key, it's kaput anyway.

Isn't either drilling it, or cutting it off, going to be one hell of an effort

Use a piece of pipe over the lock end and lever it off.

Did end up seeing a few videos about this, looks pretty easy (too easy) so of I can't find the key I'll give it a go.

Normally, a drill bit into the key slot will do it. I've done it on a few padlocks and never had an issue. As with most things, start small Ø and work up in size.

   We bought into a managed olive grove just out of Toowoomba many years ago.
In retrospect it was designed to fail and make the directors lots of money.
We lost big time.

Thank you men, I am not looking into Olive trees as an income as such.
I am looking at buying acreage which happens to have 500 odd mature olive trees in one corner of the property, They appear healthy, planted well apart, and fenced off.
I presume not every grower would have processing facilities and rely on a central processor?
Likewise with harvesting equipment perhaps?
Just thought I'd pop the question here before I do any research.

I find it mind blowing that AFL/NRL/RU etc are all begging for money and loans, and so many big business - airlines and Shit are also fubar....

Have you ever owned a rural property before? Are you aware of the amount of work involved in just "looking after them", let alone harvests, etc?

My old dad used to say you can spend as much time on 5 acres as you can on 500....  Me, well we headed south to Tassie to get away from the 300 odd acres we have on the big island. Havnt had a regret since.

So, you arnt looking at them for income?  To me, if you did buy the property, then dont let them become the opposite, and a millstone around your neck. Unless you want to (and have the time to) actively manage them and make $$ bulldoze the lot....  Time with family is more important.

There is at least one  mobile processing plant about.  10 years or so ago back on the mainland when i was working for the TAFE someone came up with the great idea of teaching olive growing and processing.  They went out and had a mobile processing plant made.  It cost over $80,000.  When the course was offered and enrolments failed to meet targets it was canned.  The great piece of hardware was sold for about $20k.

So, if it were 20 or 50 trees, yep, an interesting sideline.  Otherwise, think carefully and investigate a business plan.

Take the profit away, the shereholders still want their purse.......
