Thanks Mace. I had considered 4800gu however thought the freight to SA would be the killer. I'll make an enquiry as they are sweet  looking drawers.

I think you southern guys are spoilt for choice. I couldn't get a set here in Mackay for under $2700.00. If bunnings sells them for under $1500, for me thats a bargain

All men dream but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible.

Hey moggy ... Have you looked at www.drifta.com.au ?

A set of drawers incl a slide out table is around $1000 .... And they ship australia wide.

1st class quality! I have one of their setup and I'm extremely happy with it.

This has been a plug for the place my son works at !  ;D

There are lots of places where you can get alternatives, ebay can be a good start.

What turned everyone off the set we had here (which I presume is the same as the current ones) Is the layout.
For instance where the fridge slide release is (on the side) means that you can't have side wings on it.
75Kg seems a bit generous, The carton that it came in had a courier weight sticker on it at 99kg?

Personally, if I were after budget drawers, my first point of call would be Powerful 4x4.

Thanks for the offer Lino6. I will keep that in mind.

DIY is my preferred option however I'm feeling a little 'time poor' at the moment with the list of jobs I got to get done around the house
