Roo Systems / 4WD Supacentre, Roof Top Tent
« on: September 14, 2014, 10:01:44 AM »
I have a Roo Systems RTT that I purchased in Jun 14 for my trip to the Cape, and I love it some friends of mine think it is one of the better styles/colour out there.

I went on the 4WD Supacentre site only to find Roo Systems is not listed as a supplier.

Car'nt find any info if they had a falling out, I thought they were partners, on google I can only find Roothys you tube promo for them

Does anyone know if these critters are still available ?

Maybe they may have to spend a couple of hundred $ more and get a Darche

Thanks in advance for any info

Look at the Gordigear ones. $1200 and they are really good quality. Helmut at the Gold Coast is a top bloke and super helpful.

I'm not going to lie to you Marge.
My alternative to cheap import trailers;

Thanks Dazzler

The relationship between Roo and 4WD supacentre came to an end in Jul14. Roo are going their own way.
I agree that the Gordigear RTT is pretty smart and I will steer my friends that way, although I am happy with the roo it was purchased with one trip in mind and it was on special with annex for just over $900 and as it turns out the co driver loves it. It will complement our travels for a while

Thanks

Hi Mate,
The tent you're after is now being made in MDC's factory for Roo Systems and will be as good or better. It is being released in October and will be $1,299.00 including annex, ropes and pegs. Keep an eye on Roo Systems or MDC's Facebook page for updates.
