Ezy Trail
« on: May 27, 2014, 06:47:07 PM »
Hi everyone - I'm still on the, what seems like, the never ending search for a camper trailer.  Have attended a couple of caravan and camping shows of late and am now swaying away a little from the hard floor.  Not that I don't like them, it's just that our budget won't allow a good one and I'm not keen on getting a sub standard one.  Consequently, I'm now looking a lot more favourably at the soft floor.  As I've recently learned a soft floor can be just as easy to set up as a hard floor.  Has anyone had any experience with the Ezy Trail (Top Trail, XM - depending on which state) Buckland?  Or, any experience with Ezy Trail at all?  They seem to offer a competitive package for an affordable price.  Any comments or advice would be welcome.  I've been on here a few times now, and found you good people to have a wealth of knowledge and a lot of advice I've found to be more than helpful!!

G'day mate,
Where abouts are you located?
I'm presuming that your budget is $5500-$9000 based on the price range of the ezy trails?
Have you looked In the classifieds here? There are some ripper units on here at the moment.

Thanks Evo!! - We're central coast NSW, so those were a bit far away for us.  And, yes, our budget is a bit prohibitive!!  We've had a turbo tent for the last couple of years and we've loved it but we are now looking to step up a bit as far as comfort is concerned without breaking the bank.  Ezy Trail seem to cater to us on a budget.  What do you reckon about their product??

Fair enough mate, I haven't really had much to do with them to be honest. So I can't really comment on them.
Central Coast NSW isn't really too bad a spot to be in. I would have a look at Caravan and Camping sales and see what is around your area second hand. My first camper was a used one, needed some work but I could not have bought the same quality brand new.

Its each to their own though. What ever you end up with as long as it suits you and gets you out there then its a good choice I think.

Cheers

Kez,
Brought a ezytrail Dec last year went back and fwd to the Kilsyth showroom and on the last visit the salesman mentioned that they have a “ebay” shopfront run from a separate section of the business only difference was warranty periods.

Went home had a look and the same model (Tarwin?)in the showroom was on their eBay shop front  only not quoting a particular model. I looked at the spec sheet I picked up and checked against the ebay model all identical save over 2.5k between ebay and showroom picked up the model at the Kilsyth factor

I’m quite aware of the price I paid and my expectation is aligned with that, in saying that more than happy with what I have and have been each and every time we have used it

The missus loves our Ezytrail so much, that even though we are moving into a caravan, she wants to hold onto the camper for the son and daughter to use should they wish. It doesn't owe us a cent, was cheap as chips, and it does the job it is made to do.

Cheers, Marschy

Have had ours three years now, a Jackaroo Gall Off road.

Have had minimal issues. Replaced cover hold down clips  and I broke the tap!

They give you a lot of tent. We have never used all the extra rooms/annexes. We have only ever used the main room, we use an Ezi Up as an annex.  In time we will replace the large tent with a 9ft one more suitable for the two of us.

Thanks everyone for your comments.  It's always reassuring to hear some positive feedback as we're pretty keen.  This is our first trailer and can't help but be a little cautious.  What about the canvas??  Anyone had any issues there??

I still haven't found a way to stop birds cr@pping on it, or leaves to stop falling on it.

Seriously though, the canvas is fine, had no problems with ours.
