New to site, hi to all members
« on: May 07, 2014, 06:40:28 PM »
Hello to all members, I am new to this forum so I'll give you a quick rundown of where we are at, my family and I have been camping with tents from 2000 and went to the next level seven odd years ago when we purchased our Bushman Camel CT (our first CT) now that the kids do there own thing (camping and four wheel driving with mates etc) we are upgrading to an Ultimate just for the wife and I to enjoy,
I look forward to talking with you all and discussing different aspects of CT life.
Cheers
Roger

Thanks for the welcome everyone,

It's the X20, we are now going through the process of working out what options if any, I guess it comes down to what we really NEED or what we would like to have, the people at Ultimate said we have time to work this out as we have yet to lock in a delivery date.
Can you give me some ideas what Uti owners would consider a must have options.

Very good mate. I love the x20. Even thinking I should trade up he xtrk for one lol.  I am going to say there wouldn't be a lot of option available for it but not 100% on what is included std with the x20.
One thing would be emp underlay for the mattresses. We didn't worry about a lot of the canvas, only small awnings and one large rear awning. We didn't get under bed room or walls. Water filter is great if it doesn't come std. We got fusion radio, but I don't like it, something I would look more into next time

Look forward to seeing what you decide on and pictures. Will they give you a choice of lounge fabrics or will all the x20 be the same as pics on website?

D4D, thanks for the link, some of my questions already answered.
Oldmate, the fabrics are as shown in the photos on their web site, we had decided on the water filter and the clear window over the galley. As all the canvas can be added on at a later date, we are going to get out there and use the CT then decide if we really need extra canvas, on our soft floor CT we have a full awning and annex, over the last seven years i think we've used the annex 2 or 3 times and we only use the awning when we have bad weather. As for the Fusion stereo its RV-CD800 I've never had anything to do with Fusion products so time will tell (any reason your don't like yours?)
Wheels and tyres are as per photos 17" six stud mags so they won't match up with the 100 series tow vehicle :'(, I have decided to stay with these wheels as it would take away from the look of the X20 and over the years of having the soft floor CT I have never had to change a wheel.
Note to Admin: if you think this thread is getting off the introduction topic, feel free to move it into the right place.

Yep ours is the ms-cd80 or something and isn't iphone compatible. I have 3 iPhones and no iPods. So I have to come up with some other system for it, but can't be bothered. If they had of told me it was not compatible with the iphone I would not of got it fitted. But apart from that it is ok, but we rarely use it anyway as it turns out. Good idea with the canvas, we decided we would use it and see what we needed.  So far nothing, we didn't even bother with the clear window.

Roger D, welcome aboard to My Swag and a fellow Ultimate (to be) owner.  We have the Xplor.  A lot of great bling on the X20 - Ultis 20th anniversary model and only 20 being made.  Was down at Ultimate last weekend and 17 of the 20 Ultimate X20s had been ordered, so only three left.

We got the under room, large rear canvas awning and emp underlay.  Have made our own plastic windows and boot floor mat.

You'll love the X20 and also the Ultimate forum once you pick up you new beast.

Again welcome.
