Great game by both! I will have to try & update my knowledge of the game though as I was of the understanding that if a ball comes of your noggin (Smith) it's "Play On" & the same if a ball is kicked into an opposing player & he doesn't play at it ( C/Evans into Haynes was it?) How Qld got the feed from that I don't know ???
I hope the next two are as good, with slightly different outcomes of course >:D

Although I was hoping for a Qld win, I think we all must admit that it was a brilliant game.  NSW were definitely better than QLD in the first half and although they came back better in the 2nd they were not good enough.
It is going to happen one day, so maybe we have to get used to the fact that this may be NSW’s time.  The refs made a few bad decisions, but nothing that ruined the game.  I am hoping QLD do come back, but it is only a game.  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(     Kevin

Qld dropped too much ball in the first half and spent too much energy tackling - something like 177 tackles in the first half to the blues 100??

They missed Cooper and Smithy was on one leg in the second half and still we only missed by four points!

I think the blues were the better side on the night and deserved the win, our lads will have some motivation for round 2 in Sydney

+1 for missing cooper... he's the glue...

nsw were the better side, but not by much.  i don't think they can play much better.  qld has plenty of improvement left...

deja vu from last year...

Did anyone else notice the two NSW tries were both the result of Johnathan Thurston missed tackles? It seemed there was always a tactic to attack the right side defence of Qld.

Add his two missed conversions and I think he had a bit of a Barry.

Great game and well done to the Blues.A good win in Queensland .
Both teams played well but nsw were better on the night .
In the play before the last Queensland trie there was a blatant forward pass (check your recording if you taped it )
The ref as per this season .....had a shoker .......

So Brett Tate feared for his life when he was up lifted,
He said he was scared  ???
Hmmm, wonder how the players have felt over the years that you have eye gouged, head butted, drove your shoulder into their unprotected backs as you were the third man in, wonder how they felt at the time.
Oh look at me, I wear a neck brace, Oh look at me.
Harden up, it's a contact sport.

I don't like the bloke(Tate), never have.
Funny thing about NRL players, some paint them to be role models, examples of "the game", pin up boys,
They're far from it.
Not just qld players like Thuggeraday(Mr third man in), Thurston(Thursty) to name a couple.
NSW is no better, Stewart(the raper), Bird (the glasser), John's(the druggy).

The administration have become a joke.
Just look at the ad's throughout the game.
Betting mobs can fill the screen as long as they tell you to bet responsible, Cough Cough BS
And lets not get started on the poor ref calls, even with a thousand cameras they still get it wrong repeatedly(this goes both ways too).

It's losing it's appeal

Stewart(the raper)

Brett Stewart was acquitted of any charges associated with the incident; as in he's innocent. I'm sure he and his family are sick and tired of people wrongly accusing him of such a crime. But lets not let the facts get in the way.

Didn't Wally make the call during the telecast that he thought it was okay?

if not Wally, then yes, one of the crew.
Begs the question as to whether it would have been accepted in any other game.

In the AFL latest rounds, there's been some fopars from a couple of the league's elite that if not for who they were, would have incurred a much harsher scrutiny.  Not saying the tribunal and review committees do it easy, but clearly different strokes for different blokes.

I am sure it was Wally, as he started by stating "as a queenslander"

If they allowed club games to be played at that pace and with the same niggle. Each side would need 300 players to get through a season!
