Dazzler, just reading this thread.  Congrats on the new house.  You won't  be disappointed in Pottsville. Its a great little village, which gets over crowded in holidays, but the beaches and creeks are second to none. The people are friendly and very helpful.  You are about 25 minutes to Byron Bay and about the same to Tweed Heads, and if you need to visit Surfers Paradise, its about 45.  Border ranges National park is about an hour, plenty of discovering to be had. As you have read, there is a few of us around here, so would be great to catch up for a beer or three, after you get settled in. Cheers Frosty. :)

Wow thanks all. My wife asked me if I had found Amalgam.  I think I have.

Amalgam is a bill Bryson tag.

And yep ray is a top bloke!

Cheers all and see you soon!

This Koala Estate, is this the one where you can't have animals (dogs & cats) if it is, my brother lives there also.  ;)

Yep. Even MarkGU was too feral and they wouldn't let him in. Nice part of the world though and I'm looking for a fishing partner Dazzler, so hurry up and get up here. You'll just be in time for Tailor season.

Yeah no cats or dogs.  You can keep koala's on a leash so that will be fun.

Tailor fishing hey.  We used to do that off Scott's Head with a piece of white elastic and four runs of gang hooks.  Put pilchard in the elastic and cast away.

Is that how they still do it or does that invite a rogering from Mr Fisheries Man?

Finally arrived after 2100 ks.

What can I say.
Awful place to live.
Awful people.
Awful weather.
Awful new house.
Awful neighbours.
Awful scenery.
Awful forests.
Awful camping areas.

Just awful!

There's a tradition around here that new residents always put beers and food on the first Friday that they're in. I will be around tomorrow at 5:00pm!!!!

Bad timing for the oysters as my source is holidaying until late August.
Bugger, just realised that means none for Darlington!!!
Sorry fellas :'(
Will just have to let Dave fill the gap with prawns.
Unfortunately, I know which gap he'll fill & with someone elses tucker too!
