Easter 2014 - What's your plans?
« on: February 28, 2014, 07:45:53 AM »
For the scarps tribe, 2 weeks on the Murray River near Tocumwal.
No power, bush camping only and lot's of sunshine (before Victoria's winter sets in for another year)So Vic school
Holidays start today. Couple of hours work this morning, then hook the Trackabout up and head for Murray River at Tocumwal. Sadly back to work on Monday for me, but still noice to head back up again the following weekend where swmbo will have been relaxing with relo's all week.

Hope everyone has a safe and relaxing Easter.

Looking at heading out to Phillip island for a few days. But might go somewhere else more appealing!

Great spot.  Plenty of firewood up on the ridge as long as you have the ability to carry it down.

Inspired by your recent trip Scarps. There are going to be between 3 and 5 families so we will need to find a decent spot in there somewhere on Friday morning.

Figured every man and his dog will be camping (take 3 days off to get a 10 day holiday) so camping on a friend's property near Mittagong.
Standard Easter thing with 5-6 families we went to school with.

Got a couple of options im considering.  Option 1 swag trip to vic high country for a week. The 10 days allows traveling down and back to Gold C.oast.  Option 2 spend 2-3 nights at each of Georges Junction,  West Kundereang, Oxley rivers national park. Any takers or interest on high country?

If I buy a 2nd hand camper I've got my eye on (hope it doesn't sell until I can make a decision), then we'll probably be heading away in it...maybe down to Minnie Water.

We might head to Lindsay Island of Ned's Corner for a couple of nights before I head back to work on the Sunday. Either way a couple of nights away in the camper is on the agenda + Riverland Speedway on Saturday night!

Us as well. 12 nights on the Island. Hoping to do an overnighter to Sandy Cape. Come home before the crowds on Good Friday or Saturday, can't remember. We are staying at Orchid Beach. Island virgins, can't wait.
