« on: November 20, 2013, 02:43:09 PM »
gday guys.

am looking at a blue tooth to use in the truck.i have a couple of them here at home, but the volume on them arn't loud enough to here in the truck.even with the volume on maximum it is still very hard to hear. can anyone recommend a good one ( that doesn't cost an arm & a leg) and has very good volume?

cheers.

Replace your head unit with one with blue tooth in it, and use the car speakers...
Best thing I ever did... also got USB in it while there...

The Parrot ones are pretty good. Wife used to have one in a Mazda. It hooked up to the radio and cut out the radio when a call was received and the speech from the phone was put through the radio speakers.

Hi ya Goldie, I use one of those jobbies that clip on to a sunvisor and is about as big as a mobile phone, It's called "ST buddy" brand, I got it from the now defunct wow sight and sound about 2 years ago and it hasn't missed a beat, and big plus coincidentally is it has the mini USB charger, the same as my HTC phone, good volume, good microphone and can be taken vehicle to vehicle easily

x2 for high background noise situations the Plantronics earpieces work very well.

I've got 2 BlueAnt units. The older one I've had for about 5 years and it hasn't missed a beat. The newer one is voice activated. Works well but chews the battery. The older one can go weeks without a charge, the newer one more like days.
Cheers, John.
