Mayfield Beach
A nice campground, when there’s nobody else around. As someone else said “any *DECENT* camping spot that's free on the water would be packed like 20 sardine cans on any form of anything resembling a long weekend” and it’s certainly true for this one. Still, worth a mention.

Petal Point, North East tip of Tasmania
Can be get very windy here though. Hence the reason there are heaps of wind turbines along the coast. You have been warned.

Good phone, maybe internet, possibly TV if you're lucky (and have a strong amplifier)

Should get good phone, internet, TV, and radio

back in the batemans bay / Nelligen district - has anyone gone down the road/track to red gum campground on the clyde river? the national parks site says it can take campers but I like to know first - there is also a walk/paddle-in / walk/paddle-out one downstream from there that looks on google maps to have had a rough track made down to it over time and I'm sure I have seen cars there on occasion as we putted past by boat
