Thanks Danny, fair enough if you do owe money mate but we have bent over backwards for this mob with no return contact/action.. Anyways, who's coming to see us at Leisurefest in Melbourne tomorrow?
Two sides to every story,, very true Dave, but you yourself know how hard and frustrating it can be to recover even the smallest amount of money when your a small company, then a regular customer decides he's not going to pay for what ever reason and bingo..!
I like the idea of name and shame, but, yes.... you must be 100% sure who you name.

Non payment of accounts offends me, the person who extended to you credit in good faith and puts the onus onto customers who do pay, causing prices to unnecessarily rise.
Wondering if the price drops again if/when the debt(s) paid?
Highly doubtful = BS excuse!!!

my company has 14 days terms - your fed to the debt collectors.

but they pay on 90 day terms....
bill comes in - goes into a *do **** all* tray - no matter what date it comes in..
end of month gets put to the *action* tray
end of month gets entered into system
end of month gets paid if your lucky.

We had some work done by a 1 man show in perth, few grand of work and they are ****ing him around no end... This company has burnt so many bridges in Perth it aint funny - we cant get some Shit fixed at all as there are only 2 people in WA who do the work...

Another customer of ours over paid an account by $6000 - the girl on the phone said no problems I'll get it reversed straight away for you - finance manager lost it saying **** them we didnt forecast repaying it so no your not yet... ??? ??? ???

One for the finance gurus - how often do you *forecast* repaying money?

It's a fantastic idea Rockman I agree however I think these concepts need to work both ways.. John Vezos, the previous owner of Trackabout went out with a bang not only owing Couplemate money but many others which goes against our grain however no more on this topic...   :police:

We were made aware that our name was on their website and after making many calls demanding to have our $234.80 order delivered or to remove our name from their website if they could not fill our order. Our order finally arrived in August this year (10 months later) and was paid for immediately upon delivery. We have since been in contact with Couplemate still with no luck, so this mater is now in the hands of our solicitor..

Not to mention during this this scenario we lent Couplemate stock to fill their customers orders due to low stock levels.... No thanks to us mentioned here though...  :-[

We would have thought after lending Couplemate stock back for an order he couldn't cover for another customer ( a good Aussie thing to do in business) that we at least would have heard back from them after the first few calls but no..

After numerous efforts we have given up on dealing with such unreliable business.. Not meaning to gripe but this may give you an idea of how accurate this name & shame concept actually is..

Dave

Likely story Dave. :-)

Ps just pulling the piss on Dave. That's all

Never, but I also don't forecast overpayments. You do for underpayments or. Non payments but not overpayments So I could return money and still hit my cash flow forecast,

I'd say he wasn't going to meet his forecast, and this was his "get out of gaol" card......

I needed to get a flexplate balanced a few years ago so took it to a local shop to get done. Every friday i stopped in to pick it up only to be told some half arsed story. Finally after 3 months it was done but had he hadn't done the invoice yet as his office girl ( his wife ) was away. No worries i said just mail it to me, which he did, for 3 months.
I figured if he could make me wait for 3 months then i could do the same, i even told him this when i did go in and settle.
I always try and spend my money locally but i only give you one chance, screw me around and i'll spend my hard earned else where.
I always pay though, no matter the circumstance.
