Shelters - Dome and the like
« on: August 22, 2013, 09:51:22 PM »
we're looking at getting some additional shelter for the campsite, outside of the annex etc.
started looking at one of the Coleman Dome arrangements but they seem big, expensive and heavy

any recommendations for similar structures that you've used / had success with ?

cheers

Most of them are by design, and size..
Most people use a tarp and 200 poles and ropes.

Hi Dingo
We have the Coleman Event 14 dome and find it great for setting up at the beach for the day at 14 foot square gives a fair amount of shade
It handles a breeze a bit better than our Oztrail 3 x 3 quick shade but takes longer to set up
We dont use the dome as much because the gazebo style shades are so much quicker, I still wont get rid of it but if its a bit windy the dome gets the job

Cheers Michael

We have the Oztrail mega gazebo, great cover and you can move it around, even put it in the river in the high country so the kids could cool of in the river and with a couple of babies around provided some much needed sun Sade as well, pack up easy and straps to the top of the hard floor camper
