I've never been able to get my head around burnout comps.

High quality cars with big dollar engines and thrash 'em until the rods fall out or ya stick it in the wall.

Then jump out, stand on the roof and act like a soccer player who has just scored a goal.

I've thought about getting into that.

They have a club on the sunny coast.

I never saw the sense in a burnout.......drag racers do it for a purpose, not to see if they can damage the engine or wear out a set of tyres..

At least when things go wrong they don't wrap themselves around a pole at 160 k/ph !!

Same amount of smoke, just comes from a different part of the vehicle.  8)

This is most likely, the fastest TRUE STREET DRIVEN car in the country. Years ago, Terry drove from Toowoomba to Sydney, ran mid 8's and then drove home.

Now running mid 7's......  :o

Bird, that V-snot thing would be a great learners bike for the Missus.  :D

A full size version of this ( I beleive this is actually a model ? ) would be too cool.

http://smg.photobucket.com/user/RatRod/media/HD%20and%20Trumpy%20drag%20bikes/P1010011-1.jpg.html

Running 130mph on that girls bike would be boring as bat Shit. 130 on that Trumpy with a 5" tyre, dropped bars, no guards, no chain guard, no manners, handling or brakes, now that'd be fun ;D

Anyone ever watched Worlds Fastest Indian ?....my great grandfather used to ride with Burt  around 1920 when he lived in Australia for a while..

The Indian he used to break those records ( one still stands to this day ) started out as a 650cc and eventually ended up 950cc...all parts cast by him in his shed.....anyway great story...and if you ever get the chance to see even a pic of the bike, you'll realise how brave/stupid they were back in those days !!

That's why the fuel line is on top. The only way I could think of fitting brakes. You just stand on the fuel line hard with your heel. Only takes about 5 or so seconds to stop. Safety first  :D

Which kid???? ;D

They biggest one ;D

You should be at WallyBank now, running in Top Scooter.

I see on the live feed, Phillips just bashed the wall in his qualifier too.

Would love to be.

Last week at the warm ups, Gypsy had an off after the traps on his scooter. Hit 'the bump' and launched him off @ 214. Went 220+ through the traps. He's OK though.

Yeah Gary hit it hard. Lost the body and all apparently.

Jump onto www.dragnews.com.au and you can see the footage.

The bodywork picks up the throttle on the first hit and it chucks the top on the second hit.

Zap went 5:73 @ 253 straight off the bat.

Willowbank winter nationals today, http://www.speedcafe.com/2015/06/06/lamattina-hospitalised-after-winternationals-crash/

Taken to hospital for scans to find out whats causing severe back pains ... Pretty bloody obvious . Extreme case of Pucker Factor of the Klacker would be my diagnosis .
