Wrong Lamattina.

Rocky owns the race team and is from Mildura. Frank is Mornington area I believe. Both 'farmers' though  ;D

Same family, brothers actually, Rocky runs the carrots out of Happy Valley near Robinvale, Angelo runs the greens out of Boneo near Rosebud.
Their father Russell, is semi retired and overlooks all.

The family started out growing specific things but now supply all major supermarket chains Australia wide and are doing very nicely.

BIG changes happening for Australian drag racing at the moment.

Adelaide has joined with the 3 major tracks to politely tell ANDRA to go #%*^ themselves, and they are running the National Championship without them. With guys like Wedlock, Gaucci, Judd and Nino working together, I can only see positives coming from this. Hopefully......

Maybe soon we'll see crowds like that in Ed's links of years ago.

Just watched a u toob flick of the Victor Bray - Peter Kapiris accident (in car footage). Don't know how to post it or embeden it here cause well, I just don't have those skills but it is worth a look. I've never seen what it looks like to get chained into one of them things and get slungshot dowm the 400 like some kind of Wille E Coyote. On yer F.S.Shane.You gotta set of nuts on ya.  :cup:

Jamboree is on this weekend at Willowbank. Ugly little sporty type jap cars everywhere, but man they're fast. But it's not the racing that's worth watching. If you've never been to Jamboree before, go before the fun police kill it.

The promo girls 'race tape fashion awards' are spectacular  ;D

Vic makes it look like a leisurely drive down the road.
I had the pleasure of pitting with Pete and his crew for a few years. They are a fantastic bunch of blokes.

Over the past 12 months we have been doing a lot of work on the Harley.

We added a intercooled procharger kit and after quite a few teething issues we are now at 180rwhp and 156 ft-lbs.  Now not so exciting compared to some Jap bikes but pretty much more than doubled the hp & torque from factory. Plus this is a street ridden bike.

PB is 11.14 @ 122mph.  Will easily drop into the 10's once I learn to get it off the line. Once in the 10's we will make the effort to head down for the winters running in mod bike.

So this is why we have brought a BaseStation.

Cheers
Brett

Blow through or injected?

We're hopefully running the 1/8 mile series so should be up racing your home track in 12 months. 4 cars and two bikes, maybe 3.

This is my mates new setup. 406 cube twin turbo running on methanol.  Ran a lazy 8.67 @ 160 mph. A bit more work to do on the 4 link and times will fall.  Running a very soft tu ne at the moment. Cheers, Mike.

She's Injected Shane.  Give me a heads up when your heading to Benaraby.  Only racing on weekend I have off but will take leave from work depending on the meeting.

Saw that on Speedcafe yesterday.  7 years already.

Remember seeing him at a Calder Park Doorslammer meet just after he shut down the race team, crewing for another team. Plenty of rumours going around that day.

Just discovered this topic, another of my favorite things is drags, currently running my bike in street series at willowbank, will be running mod bike next year and 8th series as well. Ran in the all bike day a month or so ago won 2 out of the three races in mod bike also ran in jambo but no bikes this year agree there are some interesting sights over the weekend with the promo ladies.

This is the old girl in action, 04 Honda blackbird, best run so far 10.504, usually running in 10.6s working on 60' currently high 1.7s, need to get into 1.6s should get me closer to low 10s, like to be there for mod bike, 6.8s for the 8th should do.

Hot Rod Drag Week kicks off next week too...... go the Aussies....  :cup:

But I do like the Evil Twins too.

From last years running.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdVn8YZzTJ0

1,000 MILES OF DRIVING and averaging in the SIXES over 5 days - Drag Week 2014 CHAMPION Jeff Lutz Sr put on one hell of a show with his son Jeff Lutz Jr this year as they each piloted two of the NASTIESTS 1957 Chevy’s known to man.  Both cars with twin 88mm turbo 692ci motor setups shifted by a Rossler 210 Transmission and a Gear Vendors Overdrive, but the “EVIL TWIN” (new build for 2014) weighing in 800 lbs lighter than “THE BEAST” and with slightly more power was the crowned champion of the event averaging 6.84 @ 212MPH for the 5 days of Drag Week driving over 1,000 miles in those 5 days!  THE BEAST piloted by Jeff Lutz Jr averaged 8.27 @ 166MPH for the week
