At the highest point on Strickland Spur track in Narby, amongst the snow gums. Can't seem to find a pic, must take one.

So far out of the small amount of destinations I have listed I would have to say Stuarts Pool was a real eye opener. Tough track too.
40 km West Northwest of Newman, Pilbarra, WA

The track in (MT Newman in the background)

The river bed camp site

The view from your tent

G'day Tjupurula,
Here on the Clarence River we have so many to choose from, we really are spoiled for choice.
The Mann River, Jackadgery.

The Mann River, Cangai

The Boyd River, Buccarumbi.

The Clarence River, The Gorge.

I'll stop there, because they also make great spots for a winter camp too. And this is why it is known as Big River Country.
Have a good one.

Thankyou Hairs.
You are right, the more we share, the wealthier we become.  I feel that my family group is rich.  We have no assets at all, this computer being our only modern thing, no stove, no tv nothing like that, but we sit together every night around the fire and chat about what we have done during the day, then off to sleep.

And we call that Camping, yet this is you life.
Thank you to you too for giving us an insight into how your world turns.
I enjoy very much reading your replies to posters here, It makes me sit back and look at myself and how we do things.
Having said that, I guess the answer to your original post, Your Favorite Locations, well one of them would have to be here(MySwag).
One day we may share a fire and a few laughs.
Enjoy your night.

Groote Eylandt will always be my favourite place, and the place that I ache to return to, but Cape Leveque, Mitchell Falls and El Questro, and everywhere in between in the Kimberley comes a very close second.

Fraser Island and Cape York are magical, as is Green Patch down south...stunning.

Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Karlu Karlu(Devil's marbles) are extremely inspiring, and there's something about Coober Pedy and it's surrounds...noodling is addictive >:D

Newnes in the Wollemi NP is a favourite closer to home, and the nearby Lost City too.

There's something wonderous about the native flora out in Central Australia too. Even though the landscape seems flat and devoid of life, when you look closely, it's everywhere.

I'm looking forward to finding some more favourite places in a few weeks when we head out to the Simpson Desert, Flinders Ranges and Lake Mungo.

Was there a limit? ;D

I'm also quite partial to the Hunter Valley ;)

How lucky are we to live in such an amazing Country with an inexhaustible number of amazing places to visit?

It should keep us all busy for a lifetime :cup:

No limit on places Karen, but some photo's would really be nice.  My grandchildren may never get to those places, but they can certainly learn from others experiences and photo's of such lovely places.

Hi Tjupurula,
here's one for the grandkids, the Southern end of Bruny Island, Tasmania.

You can show them on the map, it is taken looking SW from near the car park.

cheers

Busselton WA, favourite place to live at the moment I guess.
One of the pics shows the amazing amount of seagrass that washes up after stormy weather.

This patch of bush near Nannup WA was home for a while too, a contrast to living near the beach.
