Couple squirts of silicone should fix that up.
Bit more than a squirt for these ones.

I had to replace the rear diff on the Old Girl , bloody thing locked up on me when I was passing a roadtrain the other day , was not a good feeling been a little sideways looking at the wheels of the roadtrain at a $1.20.

While I was replacing the diff I fitted a new set of rotors and pads to her as well .

A bit of cheek clenching of the seat covers would have been included in your driving technique at the time, I imagine.

Got a little bit further with the kitchen today. I'm wanting to use an oil finish, possibly decking oil or Tung oil, but I'm worried it won't hold in the wood putty like a varnish or urethane coating will. Has anyone had any experience, positive or negative, using decking oil to seal their ply kitchen?

To keep it water/stain proof I'd use a wood stain then a oil based varnish.
I did one years ago and it is still as new.

Very, used ours for a year or so and gave it to a mate living in his shed whilst building a house.
Is now in his camper.
We went back to basics with everything.
Now even further, back to an Oztent RV4

Did you do a complete rewire, mine have pretty lightweight wiring? I have screwed the top cap of, how did you get to the solder joint inside?

didn't solder...

just cut the alligator clips off, stripped the wires (which were thin), folded them back on themselves a few times, then crimped (i have the proper anderson powerpole crimp tool)...

i add a bit of heatshrink with glue lining to strengthen the plug area... have done that for other lights i have done and it works a treat...

Ok, fitted mine with dimmer switches using the original wire, pretty thin as you said. I added additional wiring and merit plugs for my CT. Might run some split cable protection on them now after seeing yours
Thanks

Yeah Matt, its a pigment added to the resin.
Took me 2 goes to get it right. First attempt I poured it over the surface and screeded it off.
Only problem is because its its Norfolk Pine its a soft wood and it leached into some porous areas. Screeding off is fine on hard woods normally.
Had to sand off about 5mm to get rid of the discoloration.
Ended up using syringes to fill the burns. Time consuming to say the least.
Found a 3 fork tree branch I might use as the base.

another quick addition to the french cleats in the garage...

the boys are using small rubber bouncy balls for handball at school and at home, and are acquiring them at a fast rate of knots...

came up with a way to try and tidy them a bit, instead of finding them everywhere, stashed around the house... :D

got the idea from the old stubby cooler holders that are scattered around the place...
