Thought today would be a good day to run a bit of WD-40 over my poles.

Which reminded me I need to change my hitch from AT35


To DO35


Stripped a bolt with my $35 Craftright socket set


So had to go to the big green box to get something more suitable


And forgot to get a 20mm socket.
Ah well, there's always tomorrow.

Weekends are expensive.

Successful weekend, left Side of trailer now has new brake backing plate assembly fitted and new bearings. Still trying to source replacement shocks so the wheel remains off for the time being. Also wired in a new merit plug.

Unfortunately, without any harsh treatment on my part, two of the four screw holes of the switch panel decided to crack and part company from the panel. There might be a bit of plastic for the screws to bite into, but on discussion with my wife, she said, why wouldn't you just replace it.

Well, it's a BEP contour 1000, 6 switches and fuses. The cheapest I can find it at is $109. Just seems a waste given the panel is totally fine apart from the above.

Also played with LED's and Anderson pole connectors for the first time

As per instructions l toiled  rewiring the taillights of  the CFA  Community lnfo trailer . Sealing up all/any gaps in the gull wing tradie trailer  . Removing stuff that wasn't required in the new plan . Later l will be charge with refit for educational purposes of the local public , & the wheel bearings upgrade .
lm so glad l have come to a sleepy country town where nothing happens     >:D

finished my electrical control box for near the bed (finally)...



power comes in via the anderson plug (with an on/off switch) and then is distributed to four pairs of anderson powerpoles and a cigarette socket...




this should control our two 12v ceiling fans and our reading light...

Did a bit of additional rust proofing before switching hitches


Finally. Looking good too.


And tidied up a bit of electrics.


I'm starting to feel like I'm ready for Easter. Next up, hot water.

Could you add a link for the power pole panel mount?  I bought the power poles from ALS and i couldn't find the mounts?

my advice is to get more locking pins than what you need, because i have lost a couple very easily... :)

What have you found to be the best way to cut the plastic boxes?
I have been using a coping saw and a file which can be a bit tedious.

I've been using a Dremel for my boxes I make, very easy to take too much off though.

i have found the small round router-type bit works best, but don't go too fast as you will melt the plastic...

if in doubt, cut smaller than the cutout size, then use the sanding bit to enlarge, if required...

I bought the battery powered one, but ended up buying the flexishaft too. It get's too heavy using it without the flexishaft, you can be a lot more precise with it.

More like what did I do to my man cave. Gone from single carport to double garage. Got the roof on today. Very happy. More work to be done on the front.






Next is cut the arches out, render everything.
Then Cape Leveque for some R&R before attacking the front yard.
