Completed the installation of my GPS tracker, which now also engages the electric brakes when I send it a code.

installation took me a while as everything is completly integrated into the electrical system and even the GPS and GPRS àntennaes are very nicely concealed

Hope I never have to use it, because it might make a mess.

What are you doing in the meantime?

Changed the handing on the Warn 9.5, ready to be installed on Tuesday in the new bar. Of course nothing is simple amd one screw started to cross thread. All fixed now and not one sign of water in the gear box which is great, Mal knows his stuff

Works well, but the real test run starts on Friday when we head north for the Cape trip......

I discovered my t-handle socket and hex set in a box, so knocked up a rack for them.
Then made a new more permanent shroud for the intercooler fan.
And finally got round to fixing my saggy man cave sofa bed.

Fitted a pair of Lightforce 50w HID Genesis spot lights to the Prado, replacing some sh!tty cheap HID lights I had fitted last week.

I also wired up an Anderson Plug from the the tow bar to the 120ah AGM battery in the front box on the camper. Something I have been meaning to do for a year.

After all that, I pulled the camper out and re-made the bed with fresh sheets and a couple of extra blankets for the SA GTG next weekend.

Thanks. Very happy with the result. A lot of I/C installations I've seen look like they've been done with an axe......didn't want that.

All the old stuff is sitting in the shed. Not in a hurry to do anything with it.
Buy GG's gear, it's good :cup: :cup:.......(and mine will be more expensive anyway :P)

Here is an example of the old stuff that was flaking/peeling off from the wheel arch. I reckon the sand on Fraser has had a bit to do with it.

This is the new stuff. The finish is pretty even but I don't think its anywhere near as thick as the old stuff. It was in a spray can and I applied 3 coats to each side at 20 minute intervals.

May have to apply some more coats before we go. The edges of the old stuff are very thick but on the tops of the wheel arch is was only really envelope thick. Not sure what the car manufacturers actually use but the stuff I used I was told to get by a panel shop when I took the Prado in for them to have a look at.

headed down to mates shed this arvo to change out the viscous fan hub, whack in a different fan blade and replace the broken radiator shroud on my Cruiser. I would have done it home under the carport, except the mozzies would have eaten me alive  >:(
