Saturday, installed the mates winch back on his bullbar after taking it to the auto elleccy . (See the country thread) .
Took the 80 down the driveway and winched up again using a tree and protector.. Winched for about 10 m, the terminal that goes intoo the winch power the cable IN. Got very hot and actually started smoking..

So might need to investigate it more before i hand the 80 back to my mate.. Cos he wont do anything and will winch away one day causing who knows what?? Burnt out winch, or worse his rig..

I painted timber "extra bits" to add to the windows so I could hang new block out blinds, which are currently blocking out the view of the night.  At least they work I guess.  The one in my bedroom should be blocking out anyone turning the corner and the streetlight.  Sleep in here I come (Saturday week).

LOL!  Since I live alone ... and my garden shed holds the mower, empty pots and a few spiders ... downstairs is the Man Cave ... WOOOO-man Cave ... it's where all the tools are ... the paint, the ladder, the cordless drill, the nuts and bolts, the screws, the hammer, the screwdrivers, the car parts, the camping gear ... oh and the washing machine and tucker box!

I've been carting this light around for years , always saying I'll put it on as a reversing light . So hit it with a wire wheel today to get some of the coal dust ect out of the brass casting .It's coming up a treat .. So with the new tray on with an old light .

cheers

Remember to put a bit of sealant on the lid as that sucker isn't waterproof.  Also see if you can get an LED lamp for it - they get effing hot with a 50W tungsten in them.

It's a flameproof head light off a vehicle for underground coal mines.

Still working on my mates rig.. Changed what i ddid with t he rear bar, working out why the winch has a terminal over heating..

His wife picked up more parts for me to install today, so when i get them then i will have another day or twos work to do.

Then one day when he gets the rocket cover gasket i will be helping install that too.

Started on the wiring for my mates patrol.
Put into the pioneer AVH-X3500dab, front component speakers, rear coaxial speakers, amp, power wiring to the rear and started on the custom woofer enclosure to mount the two 8” woofers and amp.
Still got the remote entry, reverse camera, UHF, headrest touch screens and dual batteries to go.

Cheers
