Got sick of tripping over the jarrah slab lying across the floor of the workshop and roughed out an island bench for the inlaws kitchen.

Very nice.

Continued to work on mates 80. Today removed the tint from front side windows, repaired back passenger window that wasn't going up and down properly, mucked around trying to fix the power window control panel, never ever pull them apart ppls.  Looks like it got a bit hot at one stage in its life. Told matey to buy another.
Cleaned the dash etc to make it look nice for his wife..

He took it today and dropped off his other 80, now i have a few more days work to do..

Also have his offroad trailer to repair and paint and rewire.. What fun..

Started this a few weeks ago, but finally got it finished today.
Took these

Ran them through these

And ended up with a heap of these

A bit more work and had these built

I then showed Morag how to use the paint gun and she took over.
2 coats of primer

3 coats of paint

Today we picked up a nice little wood burner, some cushions and then pressure washed the pool area and set everything up.

View from the house

Little wood burner
Next week will throw some undercoat and paint on the footstools and the furniture will be complete.
Now just to decide on a nice cover for it all.

I had one of those.

The three litre in it used to pull like a tractor. It used to max out at about 95km but geez it could climb sand dunes.
The only major problem I had was coming back off fraser once the power steering mount (which was on a slide to be able to tension the belt) snapped off. It cost $50 to repair.

It's still going around the coast. I would hate to think the km's its racked up now.

Pre kids it was the best compact two person fourby I had ever had.

When I bought it, it featured a lovely Mickey Mouse giving the finger sticker...................

Please post up the rebuild thread on that one.

Cheers Nomad

Cleaned up and painted a mates trailer.. Painted it a nice blue, bu then changed my mind and sprayed a light coat of black over the top to give it a dirty look.

Wuld have loved to try out doing a blue camo look, and still mgiht, but its out in the rain atm..

Changed the look of the trailer soo much, i was nagging him for 3 years asking if i could paint it for him..

He finally gave in and let me paint it..

Exchange for fire wood..

Had a spare car battery lying around for a while with a vsr taken from my old Tojo, decided I would wire in a dual battery setup in the bogan bus (dunnydoor wagon). No idea what I will use it for yet but sure it will come in handy for something

Here I am thinking he musy be a sloppy drinker, having to rub a bar for a couple of hours to clean it.

I just spent 2 1/2 hrs. on a jackhammer breaking up a 6 meter long concrete footing we ripped out last weekend ???, and next job is to try and get the 19 and 21 yr. old sons to barrow it around to a hole left by a tree stump I cut out today  Probably have a better chance of winning the lottery but I will try anyhow

I dont know what bar you ppl are talking about but its sounding rude..

Anyway i have been playing with my mates bar all day in my work shop. Making it swing to the right, and have started adapting it so it swings to the left. Making it into a double swinger. Bloody hard work as it wasnt built for that bar, so been cutting and welding and grinding it all day.. Had trouble with a few of the nuts, the ones that have a wire etc in the end of the chassis.

Back at it tomorow,

Might even take photos. Once complete i can then do the fuel door mod and the handbrake mod, then detail it.. Some ppl just cant keep their rigs clean.. This one is just yukky..
