Made a new second battery tray for the 80 yesterday. This is the second battery I've had now that leaked everywhere and it stuffed the previous tray >:(

I understand it is ANZAC day.... But imdontget many days off....

The last few weeks have been busy setting up my camper for our trip early may...

Today was very event full....

Re plumbed the pressure pump with some pipe the can handle the pressure.... Works great now...

Finally ran the charge cable with Anderson plugs from my battery to the hitch and from under the bonnet to the two bar... Works now...

Re wired my ikea LED's (partner did that)

Been a busy day... Enjoyed a few beers in the process....

Sorry no pics...

IIRC , You can source a genuine tray to use.
For a diesel buy the std petrol tray and vice versa for the petrol

I used a sheet of Alloy, there is about 5mm gap between the alloy and the battery.

I also tossed my headlight protectors, they restrict air flow through to the batteries.
I'll get the protective film for them to help with stones hitting them.
Hope this helps.

Did a spring over conversion on the Jayco Finch.   Not finished yet.  Have to repack the bearings, re route the brake wiring and re tension the hand brake.

Very dirty greasy job, so no photos.

Cheers

Nice work, is it an optical illusion or is the first step out the rear door a big one?

well picked. resonably steep but usable.

Started by tearing these apart and removing the nails.

Next I set this up

When finished I had these

I then set this up and ran them through to get some straight edges

Afterwards I set this up and cut them to length.

Some screws and sanding and this is the outcome

Piece #1 of our new outdoor setting.
Next week I will build 2 more of these Adirondack Chairs and footstools, and the setting will be complete.

Played around with the led light bars trying various magnet on for size ended up going with a 10mm x3mm disc.  Similar to these http://www.frenergy.com.au/products/Disc-10mm-dia.-x-3mm-height-N50.html
They theoretically will hold 2 kg each approx.
Around 1.50 each,   Also had some 20x3x20 blocks but were too wide for my bars
With at this stage one each end.  Then glued them in now to fix the cord length.  Soundalike a visit to jaycar or similar needed.

I derestricted my massive piaggio 50cc. Top speed prior to restricting was about 62km. After derestricting I got it to 72km on the same stretch of road..................was a PITA job pulling the cowlings off and slicing into the cdi with a hacksaw and pulling the variator off to remove a washer......but all good..................my mate reckons he can fit a 125cc into the frame but I don't know if that will work and I don't wqant to butcher it too much.

Cheers Nomad.
