Are you saying you changed from a Toyota handbrake to a Nissan handbrake? :)

First gate project is virtually finished, with just the ground cover to be finalised.

Second gate project started. Ran into footings on the ‘house side’, so drilled the footing and welded some brackets to the post, then bolted the post down prior to concrete. I will also use brackets further up the post, attaching it to the house. Started the fence side and ran into a fence post footing. No way around it, that I could think of, but to have the ‘fence side’ gate post about 150mm out of square to the house side gate post. This offset shouldn’t be noticeable😓.

Big weekend in my shed.....

I have a little project where I need to spend a week or so at around 4 mtrs or so high. So I build myself a platform. It all comes apart for easy transport......probably highly illegal though  ;D

I started restoring my old Atlas 7B Shaper

And I bought a really old weathered picnic table that was built out of Blackwood so I gave that a sand and varnish. I stick it on a block we go camping at.

Not a virus, not a re-install, not a format, not an issue since 2011..once you go mac you never go back

Finished the gates. Just a bit of landscaping to cover up the pooch barrier that is on the yard side of the gates.

Wish I could post about my current project but it is "secret squirrel business". I am sure there are folk on here that could provide good input (that I need) but I have been asked to keep mum.
At this stage reveal is mid September.

Well can finally reveal. This is a full scale wedge tailed eagle made from 1.2 mild steel sheet for the head & feathers. The skeleton is made up of round mild steel, and the talons are forged from reo bar. Wing span is approx 1.8 metres.

It will be mounted inside  a building at a veterans retreat near Charleville, however building has been delayed as the mill for the structural timber decided to fall to bits.

Was meant to stay under wraps until the building was ready but it was taking up to much room here at home.

Just delivered it out there & had a week camping at the retreat.

Not sure I am keen to do another, took about 4 weeks

Thanks for the kind comments.

Would weigh around 20kgs. I could manage to pick it up myself just awkward.

Should have put it in Outback Sculptures. Pulled up in Roma to have a look at the display.

They had huge prices on them & most had sold. There was a brolga made from stainless & it sold for 4,500 I think or may have been 3k can't remember. Either amount was staggering to me.

Modified the original In-Sink Cutting Board Mark I into the Mark II by making the hole bigger, as requested! ;D

Also really lashed out by giving it a coat of stain to (hopefully) make it a little more water resistant ???

Sort of in shed, just outside it.
Wandering around Bunnings on weekend ( apologies to those in lockdown) and on their clearance trolley for $2 ea were garden wall pots. maybe went overboard but bought the lot, 24 of them.
We originally had a smaller version which was full of strawberry plants and they went well.
Couple of those decorative cutout panels, 3 lengths of solar panel framing and a couple of square post, all courtesy of verge pickup over the years and its up.
Now have to do a look around for 75 plants to fill it.

Nice pick up.  Probably don't need the decorative panels behind as the plants will quickly cover them.

Was a excuse to stop tripping over  them from back of shed.

Seeing I struggled with trying to get the lawn mower to start I got a click and collect air filter and installed it. One pull and off to cut the grass.
