Over the last week or so, I have been "restoring" and old Kelso wheelbarrow that one of the wife's friends had tied up in the roof of their carport. Apparently it has been there for the best part of 15 years after they moved to town from the farm and didn't need it anymore.
Pull apart and rebuild. Surprisingly only two rusted solid bolts had to be cut out.
New tyre, strip tub and rust convert and repaint, lots of sanding and soaking coats of linseed on handles, reassemble.
Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of it beforehand. I was going to do it in original Kelso colours, but the wife wanted it in red - because red barrows go faster!
But she wanted the stand and front struts left original. Don't ask me why! Thought the paint on them was actually in reasonably good condition.
