The Rio Tinto Ride to Conquer Cancer 2013
« on: February 19, 2013, 02:01:11 PM »

I went for my first bike ride in a very long time last week and with the blood still flowing and before the pain set in I decided that I would challange myself to do the Rio Tinto Ride to Conquer Cancer.
So far this year I have been to 2 funerals with a third on Friday so also keen to raise money in support of cancer.

The Rio Tinto Ride to Conquer Cancer is a 2-day, 200km cycling event that raises funds for cancer research and treatment. All proceeds from the event go to the Queensland Institute of Medical Research, a world leader in cancer research and one of the largest and most successful medical research institutes in Australia.
I will be raising funds and training hard so I can make a huge impact in the fight to conquer cancer - but I need your help.
Please make a donation to my fundraising account today.

Cancer is something that has touched all of our lives in some measure. It's my goal to put a stop to that and The Ride is how I am doing my part. That's why I am so passionate about raising funds. Any donation that you can give is greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your generosity!

I cant say that is a popular name...I only know 1 person in the team...haven't meet the rest yet.
I can't imagine talking to much during the ride...I will be to busy trying to breath.
