Reminds me of the time we had a bad spate of accidents in our patch. Sadly, three youths, all under 18, killed in seperate accidents caused by what some people call risk taking behaviour. Others would call it country kids doing country things, namely riding in the back of utes.

The powers that be wanted answers as to how to stop this behaviour and reduce the injury/fatality stats (a commendable idea) - someone thinking out loud suggested it was Police/Government/Society's fault.....they went on to explained that had legislation not be passed many moons earlier regarding speed, seatbelts, XPCA etc, then the young people of today would not exist simply because their grandparents or parents would not have survived to breed.

Although criticised for this train of thought, I can see the logic - hard to argue with if you ask me.
