The trip begins
« on: January 19, 2013, 07:45:29 AM »
Sorry if I am gloating but the time has finally arrived.
I have now finished work   (I have to admit that it is a strange feeling at being unemployed  for the first time in my life), the car and camper are loaded and we are ready to go. Today is the first day of our 12 month trip around this great country and will be leaving in approx 3 hours. We have no specific plans   but leaving Perth heading south and then just take every day as it comes.

looking forward to meeting others and hearing about the places that we must see.

Hi Reb,

That will be us in 2 weeks today (although I will be on leave not unemployed) Nerves and excitement are setting in, but still so much to do, need an extra couple of hours per day.

We are leaving from Bris Vegas and heading south and over to the west so we might cross paths in our travels.

I hope that you have safe travels and get to enjoy your trip

So, is that from Perth, heading south and around anti clockwise to the cape since January?

7 months, is that a good pace?

No doubt a great trip.

You didnt stop by to lend a hand on the way past, so must have been good !!!!
