You could just tell the little darlings to keep their space in order... or else!
then have your missus keep watch an eye on things so it doesn't get out of hand when they "forget".

works for me. Not as tidy as I'd like, but tolerable.

I do run a storage net above their heads which attached to the grab handles and cargo barrier. Chuck pillows, jackets etc up there do out of the way but easy to get to if needed.

Where did u get that from? Sounds like a great idea.

I've given the kids their backpacks to put their crap in, all nice and tidy when we leave, bombzone when we get their.  They whinge and bitch about the mess they make but we've learnt to drown it out lol
A couple weeks into a trip that we have no set finish date for, they'll work something out sooner or later
Cheers

Made it out of a couple of small motorcycle helmet nets and a bungy cord

Wifey usually stresses about our messes in the back seat and keeps it clean. My job is to drown out all the noise, pretend I can't see or hear anything and drive the car.

Here's a pic of it in the Jackaroo without the cargo barrier so it uses two bungees, nowhere near as sturdy as when it is installed the GU with the cargo barrier

You could go to super heap and buy a trailer net. I reckon that will work and they only cost a few dollars

Nah the spacing is too big and the net is too big. I just got two of the motorcycle nets for about $10 from the uk on ebay
