Hi Guys

My name is Casey Hilton, I have not long found this forum as I have been trolling the internet for a good 2nd hand CT for the last month or so. I had thought I had found the the one it was a customline camper for 7K, had boat rack, 12ft, ticked all the boxes and I thought yep that will do me, I make an apointment to see the guy, only the owner rings me back 1/2 hr before I come to have a look at it, and says "its sold mate" - I thought WTF!!! "mate you told me come see you at 5.30pm cause you were not going to be home" he says, "nah the guy that brought it had already worked out the deal with it during the week or what ever" so I hung up on that one and continued my search.

I found a custom made box trailer that had a blue tongue camper on it, only been used a few times, it ticked all the boxes only it was an off road style camper and the brake trigg hitch sat to high, and that made it tow worse then it could, so we worked out the deal and I worked on some mods to rectify the problem.

I took a couple of shots while we were working on it, its worked out a lot better and sits a lot nice on the back on my bongo van (Honda Odyssey) only thing to do now is give it a good clean up and give it another coat of paint (clear over base) so it washes better. I only etch primed it for now, hope it all works out OK.

Anyway here are some pics of the work

Cheers

Casey

Hey mate,

Great to see another member from Brisbane! Plenty of places around here to visit...

My only thoughts with your hitch down there is it's going to be hard to get a grease gun on those nipples... You can get some right angle ones like these: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3-Pc-M6x1-Thread-90-Degree-Angle-Metal-Grease-Nipple-Zerk-Fitting-Nozzle-/300821447337?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item460a5b02a9&_uhb=1#ht_2037wt_1139

Might see you out around here one day!

Cheers,
Bryan

Hey guys
Thanks, yea the grease nipples were a problem as there was not enough clearence to leave the angled ones on it so I might end up just drilling a couple of holes through the side of the rhs.

Well I haven't used it yet, we are booked for 10 days down at treasure island gold coast, kids will have a ball, only problem with a camper is I can't take my boat ;-(

Cheers
