Congratulations on the new camper :cup: I hope you have many enjoyable trips, memorable times and meet some fellow swaggers.

BTW will the wheelbarrow, broomhandles and tablecloth be in the classifieds as we are in the market for a new style of camper and that would be easy to set up for a couple of oldies

WooHoo Jeepers, welcome to the CT fold, give the slippers a chance and enjoy the new home away from home. Is it a soft floor, hard floor flip over or a pop top ??

OK, i will post some pics soon, but what we bought is this..........

A fold out softy camper trailer, this is what we've bought for $6,000.  :cup:

A one owner. 7 x 4 Koala Aussie Tourer gal trailer set-up made in Bunderberg. This thing has done very little work and is for much of it, like brand new. It's painted hammer tone green and the paint is really good.
However, the owner has painted the mudguards and drawbar, in a flat black bitumen style of paint to reduce the chips from rocks. No stone guard you see.
The trailer has always been garaged with a cover over it.

The tent is in very good condition and really looks closer to one year old then 7 years old.

We got the following included in the deal....
An 8' x 7' vinyl floor fold out inside area and a rear 6' x 12' zip on awning over rear.
An additional 6' x 12' zip on front awning cover over hitch
A blue tarp to go under the tent floor, to keep it clean for repacking.
A big gal toolbox up front.
A queen bed mattress.
A swing out deluxe timber edged kitchen with enclosing zip on wall tarps.
All poles, guy ropes and pegs.
An extra 24' x 30' silver/black heavy duty tarp to cover all for added protection. (only used once to combat the heat during a hot spell)
Spare wheel, electric brakes and handbrake fitted.
Water tank. (He thinks about a 110 litre, but i think it will be closer to 80 litres myself)
Stabiliser jacks,
2x4.5kg gas cylinders
2 burner gas stove.
2 x 12 volt lights for inside.
4 seater aluminium fold out table and chairs combo.
Almost brand new, dometic 50 litre 3 way fridge/freezer. (We'll run this on gas, as the seller reckons its awesome on the gas setting.)
Almost new 80AH battery with 12V charging system via Andersen plug car connection.
A 19" (48cm) TEAC 240/12V Digital TV/DVD Combo with antenna, booster, wiring, pole & fixing bracket.
Almost new Porta Potti. (Barely been pooped in)  :D
Hanging clothes cupboards.
Floor mats (those rubbery things) for the kitchen and entry area.
All cutlery, crockery, pots & pans, odds and sods. (Even has dishwashing liquid on board.)
Table cloths and tea towels.
All electric cables and bits and pieces, including a brand new 15amp lead, still in the packet unopened.
A cover to keep the dust off whilst in the shed.
Registered to Nov 2012.
Also included are 1 gents and 1 ladies off-road bicycle with bike carrier that attaches to camper, as well as separate car hitch that includes bike carrier attachment.

I'm sure I've missed plenty of of the smaller stuff hey, but you get the idea. Everything appears to be in top condition and a lot of stuff is still in the box it came in.
All we need to buy now is, a duel shower tent, an aquacube hotwater thingy, some sand pegs, as this thing has never seen beach before.
Gunna get some of them gas gauges and a few nick knacks, but for $6,000, i reckon we drilled a good deal.

If i haven't stuffed it up, this is the link to some pics of what we bought.

With all due respect to the folks we bought it off, i made him an offer and really didn't expect to hear from him again.
He rejected my offer, but came back to me with $6,000 firm, not $5,999 or anything like that, but $6,000.

So we bought it, so no negotiation skills on my part.
Christ, it takes me 3 hours of begging just to get sex and by then I'm so buggered and worn out, i can't even remember who gets tied up first.

He wanted it gone and we happen to be there at the right time. The best part is, they are really nice folks and a pleasure to deal with as well.

He's right, they work very well on gas ... just don't expect much on 12V okay.  My dad has had one for years and swears by it for keeping   cold.

Excellent steal!

Congrats Jeepers - it looks like a fantastic unit.

Sounds like a good deal all round - you got a good camper for a great price, and the owners got it out of their garage and some cash in their pocket. I love it when a plan comes together!

As the others have said, the extras you've had thrown in are really the icing on the cake and let you go straight away in comfort and style :). Nothing wrong with that fridge, they're great.

I might have to talk to you about the sex thing. 3 hours seems too quick. I'm going on 3 years, so I might need to get some pointers off you.

Again, congrats on the new toy - make sure you start a thread in the My Camper section!

Cheers!
Matto :)

If you look at the condition of the fridge, that's the stanard for everything.  8)

Happy to give pointers in the "sex begging" dept. too, i'm very good at it.

The begging, not the sex. In that dept, i'm like 200 lbs of pure dynomite, only with a half inch fuse.  :-[

Well, we picked up the CT yesterday with the work van and it towed pretty bloody good.

Was gunna set it all up yesterday and go boating today, but decided to wait until today and give the boat the brush this week.

A good mate who lives just around the corner has bought the two pushbikes for $120.00, so that brings the price back to $5,880 for our purchase.
Then we had the $395 at da camping show, so back up to $6,275.

I'm hoping to have the works all bought up, set up and ready to put up for no more than $7,500.

Considering we set a budget of no more than $10,000, we're on the right side of the ledger. Even if you add in the brand new EU20 Honda i bought two months ago at $1,800, we're still inside the budget.

we had a quick peek inside the trailer yesterday and found a kettle and a hanging pantry clothes thingy, so that's an extra or two we weren't expecting. Even found half a roll of paper towel in the kitchen cupboard.
When we were close to leaving, the seller came running out of the house with a brand new set top box for use with the TV.
I was pretty happy with that too.

I;ve ordered two Anderson plugs, a trailer brake box thing, a 6 amp battery charger to be permanently mounted and some cable to get the stuff all set up too.
That should arrive on Monday or Tuesday.

We'll post some pics of it all set-up later, unless Mrs. Creepers throws the camera at me during the set-up.
