I have a problem finding tent poles from time to time.  :'(

I'm a lot better now days.  :cup: ;D

LOL - I bet the people travelling behind you know where they are

It always amazes me that you take an hour to do a 10 min job, because you spend 50 mins looking for things jou just had in your hand.

I spent weeks looking for a guide for the bench saw only to find it on the mud gaurd of the boat trailer!!!!

I have a problem with what I call the Knot Fairies .....

No matter how careful I roll up my extension lead , or hose , or even the leads on a multi meter , when I get them out again , they are all twisted into knots and one big mess .

Anyone else have them ?

Sure do  >:D

My Black of Camping is forgetting what I was doing.
This can either be setting up or packing up.
We all have an order in which we do things, and something distracts us, either the kids fighting or they have hurt themselves, a mate wanting a hand with something and you get distracted.
And I have NO Idea what I was up to. ???
And sure as, ya forget to put something in the tool box, switch the fridge over to 12V, tighten the Anti Sway slide.
Ya get down the road and it hits you like a frisbee.

Yeah don't you hate that. I'll be on my way to do something really important, get distracted, lose my routine then forget what I was doing.  Hmmm!!! I generally remember it later and think what a dill I was to forget it in the first place. What was that about a getting old.

The wife reminded me of another item that keeps disappearing in the "Black Hole".  Whether we are camping and washing clothes in a bucket, or using the machine at home, we always seem to lose a matching sock somewhere.

Now that is a whole new thread by itself. Where is the sock black hole and how does it work so well. I have a clothes basket at this very moment with 12 mateless socks. All the rest of the washing has been done, the baskets checked, sock drawers investigated. It is a thing which amazes me. And why do you only lose one of the two, why not both??? ??? ??? ??? ???

Yes, do that a lot now, unfortunately it is not by choice, their mates are simply GONE.

Why is is when you have lost something it is always the last place you look where you find it?

Come on D4D you know why.
Cause after you find it you stop looking therefore it is always in the last place you look.
In our house there are 3 types of looks.
A Mummy look
A Daddy look
and A Kids look.

Guess which one is the most effective,
Regards

In the garage or office - daddy look
In the toy room - a kid look

Nah. Mummy look will find it in the most hidden places
Daddy look will find if it is right in front of me when I open the cupboard or drawer
Kid look will find it if it flys across the room and hits them in the head.

I lost my tent peg puller nearly two years ago. Couldn't find it anywhere. Today whilst packing for a camp next week, I found it in a toolbox with my sand pegs. I knew there was a reason why I didn't replace it  ;D

It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent.

We lost our 12v camping shower about 2 years ago, so we discovered on our next camping trip (luckily only a 2 nighter)......replaced it after looking everywhere and decided we must of left it at the previous free camp .......we found it about 4 months ago  ::) all we can guess is it must of been in a box we dont normally carry that we had with us when we lost it.

We regularly temporarily loose the keys and phone in the pocket of the tent on the camper, we luckily haven't packed it up fully yet with them in there - but it WILL happen one day.

Ohh! I think I must be the biggest "looser"
At the time I was'nt old either like I am now.
But when my triplet daughters were babies we owned a short wheel base Nissan which meant climbing thru the back to place all the baby capsules if I needed to go shopping (live remote)
Long story short - Yes! I had to return back to the house cause I had left one of my bundles of joy sitting in her capsule on the kitchen table.
I was never any good at counting   ;D
