G'Day from Brisbane
« on: June 25, 2012, 07:54:44 PM »
Hi all,

This is my first post here. I tried to register last night but my user name was taken which I thought a bit strange, 'till I entered it & the password I was going to use & discovered I had registered almost exactly two years ago. Better late then never I guess.

My wife & I have a camper that I built myself. It is a pretty good setup with water, lights, kitchen etc. However we have been thinking how nice it would be to own something like a Jayco. We looked at second hand ones for a while & decided to go to the Brisbane caravan & camping show for a look at new ones as well. We ended up putting a deposit on a Jayco Eagle Outback. We got the annex, annex walls, kitchen awning, bed fly's, roof racks, external BBQ, innerspring mattress, second 9kg gas bottle, second water tank, water pump & probably some other stuff I can't remember. All for only about $4000 more than second hand 2010 models with less stuff. Now we just have to wait 'till September for delivery.

Regards,

Richard.

Hey There and Welcome.

I'm sure the wait will worth it.  I hear lots of people have those, so they can't be toooooo bad.   ;D

Hope to see you out there somewhere.

G'day & Welcome.

You have been one of many to not log in before, something that alwaysd surprises me as I look through the list of members. Anyway, glad you came back, and I look forward to reading about your camper and adventures.

Thanks for the replies & warm welcome everyone. I look forward to the weekend so I can take the time to have a real good look around the forum. @ Hairs, we have already booked into Sandy Creek campground for the October long weekend ;D. We are off to Inskip in three weeks for our last camp in our current camper, then will clean it up & put it on the market.
