I was thinking to get one of those flip up number plate frames that would allow the number plate to cover the winch and when she does see it say "...but its always been there dear...haven't you noticed it before??"

I think you should buy some tickets in the McGirr lottery for the RFDS and somehow win a winch out of it ;D

Go the lottery ticket idea. Its a real winner

I reckon she'd get sus (too much silence in the shed makes em suspicious) when you have to spend a coupla hours taking the bar off, fitting the winch and refitting bar, and how would you explain it?  ;D

Lets talk about your sister....does she have the same rules?......is she single?....Please attach photo.....lol

Well IMHO ... she's well due for a new man!  One that actually knows what goes where on a car, can construct a tent without assistance and doesn't light fires with petrol drained from his car ... what's your phone number and do you feel like moving north?  ;D   >:D  Notice how terribly picky I am?  ;D

can you tell us the difference between a left and a right handed spanner? ;D
BD

Yes actually.  I can.   ;D  It totally depends on which hand you are holding it with as the other hand is far too busy holding something fragile, heavy, fiddly, in place or getting the knuckle skin peeled off.  When one uses the LHSpanner one tends to end up "searching" for lost nuts and bolts which usually end up some place that only a long handled mirror can find.  Correct me if I'm wrong!

She finds it a little disconcerting that the bullbar shakes a bit on rough roads so I was going to say that I will take it off and see if its missing some bolts or something else...
Just had a 120AGM battery delivered that I ordered last week and neglected to mention, she beat me to the door...in the poo again...
Degree of loss, how badly will I lose today... :'(

Everything must be delivered to the office/mate's factory/some other place. Rookie Mistake!

My wife got caught out when I worked from home for a few days, and she was away. All these packages turned up! Unfortunately, I had already committed my crime (of omission), see above, so this just evened the score but didn't allow me more spending.

Well the plot thickens...while I was out at Bunnings this afternoon (as you do) the wife thought it a good idea to tidy up some of my crap in the garage while I was not there telling her not to touch stuff, as she does...
I wonder if she has an account on here and read all this  :'( :'( :'(
Anyway may be sleeping in camper tonight...unless I try the 'go buy a new dress, shoes and hand bag' trick...expensive...

She came home with an $800 puppy...the dress/shoes/handbag would have been cheaper in the long run...all smiles I guess.
She says she saw the winch box box a few weeks ago but did not know what it was and forgot to ask...

There's always the "third party" approach

If you want something then use a "third party" that has some perhaps more influence on Mrs's decisions that you do.

First, you have to know if the "third party" will be sympathetic to your cause

Second , engineer to have a coffee or dinner with "all parties" and bring the topic up in conversation. Seek approval from "third party" that what you want is a "Good Thing"

Third, go for the dummy close "yeah but I dunno of we can get that even if it's a good thing like you say..."  Third party says, "I would if I needed it" (reasons etc given)

Fourth, time it right, go for the close, get agreement and then do the job!

picky....less then 6 questions...lol

I spend most time off up in Qld with the relo's. Only thing is I am looking at moving north but not willing to part with the tow toy so looking at Tweed Heads / Banora Point sorry. Until Qld allow more the 2" lift that is.

I must be a bit lucky.
She wasn't happy about the $8k I just spent on two new rifles and $2k on new binoculars but the same week I took her down to the Subaru dealer and picked up a brand new Wrx registered in her name.

That was two weeks ago. I've only heard two things since.

1. Can I order some up spec brakes for her car and
2. When am I going to update my 4wd. She keeps asking me if I want to go test drive a new bt50 or ranger.

She might drive me nuts every now and then but reckon I'm lucky given some of the toys that inhabit my shed.
